Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Donald Trump may have stepped in a pile of dookie deep enough that he may not be able to easily shake it off his loafer. Trump has made a side career out of pissing people off, ancillary to his real estate and media fortunes. He’s never been afraid to just shoot his mouth off with zero regard for the consequences, because when you have both Eff You Money and Eff Me Money, you can generally say whatever you want without fear of repercussions because what are they gonna do, fire you?

In fact, they’ve tried to fire him. The Obama Lackey Liberal Pansies at NBC opted to cancel Trump’s The Apprentice TV show, probably because no one was really even watching it and not because Trump spouted off about illegal immigrants and the number of illegals who pour in from Mexico to rape and murder our citizens. But, over the last six months, America has become the Land Of The Sissies. All we do is look for things to be offended by, and then we either attack the alleged offenders or we capitulate in the face of the attackers. But I digress.

They aren’t exactly canceling Trump’s other show, the one that people actually do watch, Celebrity Apprentice. Nooo, instead they’re just replacing him as host, and the name being bandied around the most as the new host is comedian George Lopez. Why Lopez? Not because folks were clamoring for another Lopez show. After his sitcom got canceled in 2007 after five seasons, he had a short-lived two seasons as a late night talk show host, and his newest show made a whole 10 episodes before they pulled the plug. No, Lopez is being looked at because he is Mexican-American and seen as safe, a soft and cuddly comic, the voice of Papi in Beverley Hills Chihuahua…who was quoted onstage this week saying “Fuck that Puto (whore)” in reference to Trump. Soft and cuddly indeed. Oh, hey, wait a second...puto can also mean "faggot" or "male prostitute"? Oh, snap! You don't see anyone calling Lopez out on that do you? The HuffPo kinda whispered it, but no one noticed but me.

Careful, Lopez....mess with fire and you might get burned.

 Hispanic TV network Univision has decided to drop its telecast of the Miss USA pageant (which Trump owns) and severed all other business ties to Trump on June 25. Trump has since filed a $500 million lawsuit, accusing the company of breach of contract and defamation. Trump has the money and the lawyers to bleed Univision dry in a case that could drag for years.

Ever since Trump announced his bid for the White House, seeking the GOP nomination, there has been a veritable shit storm on both sides. Why? Because Trump is a wild card, a loose cannon of sorts. He can’t be bought and can’t be controlled, and that scares the everloving shit out of both the Establishment GOP Karl Rove acolytes and the Democrat Leftists. And this is precisely what Trump wants. I used to think he was just a bloviating blowhard. Now I can't wit to see what he says next.

Disdainful Rove is disdainful

In my humble, yet correct, opinion, Trump knows he isn’t going to win the popular vote. He’s too polarizing. I don’t even think he even wants to win. No, he is in it to stay in the media spotlight (he’s been an attention whore for decades) but more importantly is the Big Picture Reason. And what would that be?

I believe, deep down, Donald John Trump, Sr. loves this country and wants to see it succeed. A rising tide floats all boats. And knowing he isn’t going to win everyone over to his side, instead he is gonna shove every problem we have into the spotlight. Trump is going to bring up and shed light on every ugly, nasty, potentially embarrassing hot potato elephant in the room issue that The Left is terrified Joe Voter will realize they have orchestrated and that the progressive jellybacks in the Establishment GOP are too spineless to address. 

 At first the Leftist Media was content to call Trump a front-runner. Why? Because they thought he was going to be a clown show who would fizzle out and embarrass the Republicans in the process, and move the mindless masses to their masters in the DNC. You see, we’re thought of as stupid by the Left and their media minions, and they tell us who the supposed frontrunners are and most of the sheeple out there believe it. They tell you who they want the frontrunners to be and too damned many times the public has wagged their tails like obedient dogs and followed along. They handpick their Donkey Party candidate and then seek out the easiest to beat, or the most pliant, weak-willed middle of the road flip flop progressive squish that they can control should the GOP win. That’s who the GOP frontrunner will be according to them. 

Problem is, we are still a year away from the deepest darkest scariest part of the race, and just under sixteen months from Election Day itself. We still need to whittle down the Clownfish Parade of GOP Wannabe candidates. It’s way too early for an honest, no-shit GOP frontrunner. Most will run out of money; not a problem for Trump. A couple will fall victim to smear campaigns; Trump doesn’t give a royal F-word about this because he is a veteran of getting smeared and likes to fire back with both barrels. A few will just fall to the wayside because they are retreads from the last election who crapped out four years ago and are doomed to crap out again due to lack of voter support, and some will just fade away due to lack of name recognition.

Like I said, provided he can keep from stepping on his wang, Trump is here for a while. He ain’t going anywhere. He is gonna bring up issue after issue and FORCE both sides to address them. While the GOP was busy sitting on their thumbs as Obeezy and Company sold us up the economic river with that craptastical trade agreement and gave Iran the Bomb while letting them flood the market with oil to fund ISIS and world terrorism, while we were holding Caitlyn Jenner’s nut sack in our clammy hands as we allowed the NAACP to begin eradicating the history of a third of America’s states because it was offensive as it patently ignores the rampant black on black crime of Democrat controlled cities, no one had the cherries to discuss the burgeoning problem of illegal immigration. No one but Trump.

 Trump met it head on and caused a shit storm for daring to mention the frighteningly large number of rapists and murderers that flood into our country from Meh-hee-ko. Yeah, the Latin world calls him a puto and worse, and even started marketing a Trump-faced butt plug (see above picture), and the same Latin world said exactly Jack Shit as an illegal who had been arrested and deported five times murdered Kate Steinle in the Liberal Sanctuary City of San Francisco. Where were they when the illegal from Mexico who had been deported four times killed his wife with a hammer in Laredo, Texas a couple weeks ago? Where were they when 17-year old Jamiel Shaw Jr was murdered by an illegal who had just been released from jail the night before instead of being deported? Y’know, under Obama, there’ve been over 121 murders as of last month attributed to illegals released by his administration. The Latin world, and Obeezy, has done Juan Mierda to stem the tide. 

Yeah, while America was distracted by bright shiny objects or smoke & mirrors, only one person was bringing up illegal immigration as an issue. 

As I said earlier, Trump stepped in some deep shit over the weekend as he spoke out against John McCain. I’ve read a couple different accounts of what may or may not have been said, but the basic gist is that Trump disparaged McCain for having been a POW and that he prefers people who haven’t been captured. Very poor taste in off the cuff remarks, Donald. You can list a LOT of things wrong about McCain but it’s not cool to knock him for having been a POW and making it sound like all former POWs are turds in your eyes. Dude, not cool.

You can be sure that shit just got real when the Washington Post, the second biggest liberal rag sheet after the New York Times, defends John McCain against you. Funny thing about this WaPo article, though: they bash Trump for having done draft deferment by going to college to avoid Vietnam, but isn’t that what Bill Clinton did? And isn’t Bill Clinton the very essence of what a modern progressive liberal El Presidente should be? So why is it okay for Bill Clinton to draft dodge in college but not okay for Trump? The article also chides Trump for being Ivy League, yet John Kerry went to Yale, as did Hillary, as did Bill Clinton for a while... and then there’s Harvard, where folks like the Obamas, Al Gore, and the Kennedy clan learned their vile trade. Princeton gave us She-Obama (a double-dipper), and Democrat Disasterpiece Eliot Spitzer. Dartmouth begat Former Treasury Idiot Tim Geithner and Hillary shadow Kirsten Gillibrand. Columbia? Lord Obama again (Jesus, is there an Ivy League school that he didn't smoke pot at?) and a list of notable Lefties like Erskine Bowles, Madeline Albright, George Pataki, David Paterson, FDR, Eric Holder, George Stephanopoulos, and Chelsea Clinton. So don’t pull the Ivy League bullshit, WaPo; it more than piles up on the Left.

Because Trump is kicking everyone’s ass in the polls. In fact, he could easily beat the dogsnot out of Killary the She-Beast of Benghazi and Comrade Bernie Sanders of Communist Vermont. That terrifies the Left and so they must stop Trump. That way, they can have a nice, easily managed squish more to their liking or someone they can just beat down with negative press. And the Establishment GOP is right in lock step, hand in hand with their liberal buddies in denouncing Trump because they want and need him out of the way to further themselves before they run out of money and time.

Meanwhile, instead of taking the cue from Trump and actually speaking their own platform opinions on anything Trump speaks about, the couple dozen or so GOP Wannabe candidates are either chiding Trump or staying silent. And that, my friends, is why we keep losing.

The eyes of the world are on you, Donald. Bring up every ugly nasty issue you can, while you can, and pave the way for the serious candidate who, so far, has yet to rise to the top, in part because it’s too early amongst a field that is way overpopulated and in part because the Establishment GOP progressives are doing their level best to suppress certain candidates with help from the liberal media.

In the past you have donated to the Ted Cruz war chest and he hasn't spoken out against you in the press, unlike, say Linzy Grahamnesty...whose long-standing bromance with McCain is legendary.

And a note to the rest of you GOP Wannabe types out there: start speaking up. Your silence on the recent Iran Nuke deal, the Asian trade deal, the eradication of Confederate history, illegal immigration, the teror attack on our military recruiters, and every other issue affecting us all, is being noted.

Could Illegals Be the Next Bio-Weapons?

So.... while El Presidente Obeezy was in Texas yesterday, instead of visiting the border to see first-hand where the flood of illegals is invading the United States like a plague of locusts, he instead continued fund-raising for Leftist Democrats. He hit the photo ops instead of visiting San Antonio's Lackland Air Force Base, where some of the illegals are being housed.

You see, if El Jefe ain't on vacation or on the golf course or fund-raising, he's on TV lying about whatever the scandal du jour is. Veterans are dying in hallways, a Marine is in a Mexican jail, and Obeezy is in photo op after photo op.

This latest flood of illegals isn't a surprise to the Junta in Washington. They knew it was coming. Back in January on a government business opportunities website they were advertising for contractors to escort as many as 65,000 underaged illegals from the US-Mexico border to various relocation centers within the US.

So they were looking for these transportation companies 7 months ago. Why? Because they knew they were coming. They knew that the way the craptastical laws are here in ObeezyLand that they won't deport underaged minor children to their home countries. They knew it would be a great way to lock in the Latino vote by offering blanket amnesty.

They knew and their buddies at the UN knew. So the UN, that useless pack of leeches living high on the American tit, is now urging the US to declare this flood of humans to be refugees. Officials with the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees say they hope to see a regional agreement on refugee status Thursday when migration and interior department representatives from the U.S., Mexico, and Central America meet in Nicaragua. The group will discuss updating a 30-year-old declaration regarding the obligations nations have to aid refugees.

While such a resolution would lack any legal weight in the United States, the agency said it believes “the U.S. and Mexico should recognize that this is a refugee situation, which implies that they shouldn’t be automatically sent to their home countries but rather receive international protection.”

International Protection? So does that mean the UN or the international community is going to pony up any money to take care of these people? Of course not, because the UN firmly believes that the United States is the world's babysitter and bank. They leech in style in Manhattan and send our money worldwide.

So we're trillions in debt, and Obeezy wants Congress to somehow print up 4 billion dollars to take care of all these people magically walking here from all over Central America. I have an idea...get with Hillary Clinton and find the missing six billion her State Department lost when she was in charge and pay for it with that.

So now camps are being set up all over the southwest to take care of these new illegals ( I refuse to call them refugees. Why are these ones refugees but not anyone else who came here illegally in the past? Elian Gonzalez was ostensibly a refugee and we sent his ass packing back to Cuba. In fact, didn't Bill Clinton send him back?) The camp in Murietta, outside San Diego, is the scene of full-scale protests against the housing of illegals there. The government's response? Sending in armed agents in full riot gear to ensure the busloads of illegals get to the camp. A Congressman  was actually denied entry to the camp erected at Fort Sill in Oklahoma. Representative Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) said, “There is no excuse for denying a Federal Representative from Oklahoma access to a federal facility in Oklahoma where unaccompanied children are being held,”

Bridenstine went to Fort Sill to observe the conditions under which some 1,200 unaccompanied alien children (UAC, the new euphamism in government-speak for illegal kids) housed there are living and to find out to whom they would be released. But when he showed up at the facility, Bridenstine says he was told by a guard with a security unit which calls itself the “Brown Shirts” that he could not observe the children or their living conditions. BROWN SHIRTS? Um, yeah....Hitler had Brown Shirts too. That's just creepy as hell.

When the Congressman spoke to a manager and HHS official, he was told he would have to schedule a formal visit for July 21.

“Any Member of Congress should have the legal authority to visit a federal youth detention facility without waiting three weeks,” Bridenstine said in a statement.

Though unable to get inside the facility, Bridenstine described its exterior. “A new fence has been erected by HHS, completely surrounding the barracks and covered with material to totally obscure the view,” he said, adding that “every gate is chained closed. What are they trying to hide?” Bridenstine asked. “Do they not want the children to speak with Members of Congress?”

No, sir. They don't want you to see that these illegals are crawling with lice and are carrying all manner of diseases. One relief worker at Lackland has said on some of these kids you can literally see the lice crawling down their faces. They're showing up with severe cases of chicken pox and scabies and virulently resistant strains of tuberculosis. They are systematically trying to cover up this info so the American people will stay docile and not protest this invasion.

I see a bigger problem looming on the horizon. Of course I do; I see outside the box.

You see, if they knew in advance that these illegals were coming, they have to be coordinating with Mexico. And security in Mexico is as loose as a two-dollar whore. You can buy intel about Los Estados Unidos from any government official. So, there's gotta be some drug lords sending dope up with these people. They just drop it off along the way after they cross the border. Or, some drug lords take some money from a guy representing, say..... Al Qaeda and the Taliban. This guy wants to start infecting kids with various things to send across the border.

In America we've eradicated crap like tuberculosis, and until recently measles (people refusing to vaccinate their kids against measles has caused a couple recent outbreaks). We can generally handle stuff like that. With a little luck and skill we can keep stuff like typhoid/typhus and cholera from breaking out at these camps because we know how to avoid such contamination. We had an interesting scare a couple days ago  when news came out that a forgotten batch of smallpox virus was found in an old storage room at the CDC. Seems the only two places left where theres still stockpiles of smallpox virus is here at the CDC and at a place in Russia. Now THAT is a scary thought... we know how good Russian security can be at times concerning missing weapons and stuff....

But what happens when they send over a bunch of kids loaded down with Ebola, or Marburg, or some new strain of Bird Flu/SARS/MERS or some other delicious designer disease? Could enemies of America be sending living biological weapons across our border infected with things that could quickly take out an entire city? We're letting people in like it's a Black Friday sale at Best Buy and they could be loaded with Black Plague. We're housing them at American military bases.... do the math, people.

Instead of securing our borders, we're possibly letting in the very means of our own destruction.

Wake the hell up. Do something.

So, Friday was the Fourth of July. To most of the world that's all it was, just another Friday, unless they happen to be following the World Cup games in Brazil, in which case it was an ordinary Friday punctuated by football soccer games.

Here in the good ole' US of A, most people had the day off to celebrate Independence Day, a national holiday set aside to celebrate that day in 1776 when our founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence and began a war against our English masters to gain our freedom as a nation.

Most of my fellow Americans slept in, woke up late, and headed off to the lake or the beach or to a giant family cookout, swilling beers and inhaling burgers until the sun went down and the fireworks began. In many cases the fireworks began early and in earnest as folks set off their own pyrotechnics in the confines of their yards, scaring the bejeezus out of household pets and causing many a combat veteran to twitch nervously and sweat profusely.

Not me; I worked. I was up at 2:15 am and out the door thirty minutes later on my commute in. I started at four and got off at one in the afternoon. Someone had to work so that everyone dependent upon the government (like the majority of my neighbors) could stay at home celebrating their freedoms, like freedom from work, freedom from responsibility, freedom to enjoy their Obama Phones and EBT cards and Section 8 and Medicaid and heating assistance and cooling assistance and every other known assistance and entitlement program paid for by those of us who weren't at home with the family enjoying the day relaxing and celebrating. When I got home I was pretty wiped out so I took a fitful nap and woke up a couple hours after I laid down. Right about the same time that my neighborhood started sounding like frikkin' Anbar Province...ain't got jobs but they got money for fireworks. 'Murica!

We used to celebrate Independence Day on July 4th. We celebrated the day when our Founding Fathers rose up to throw off the yoke of a tyrannical government that didn't represent them, rulership by an elite class headed by an all-powerful monarch, oppressive taxation enforced at the tip of the sword and barrel of the gun, and fought as free men to achieve their own country with a limited, small central government bound by Constitutional checks and balances so as not to encroach upon the natural rights of the citizens who elected it to serve them..

Now we celebrate Dependence Day in America. We revel in government entitlements and a society that has become dependent upon the government like baby birds with their mouths open awaiting puked up nourishment. Over the past few years, the America I grew up in, the America I served in the Army, the America my family came to from their homelands, has become a broken shell.


Only in America could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00 per plate campaign fund-raising event.

Only in America could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, a black Attorney General and roughly 20% of the federal workforce is black while only 14% of the population is black. Over 40% of all federal entitlements go to black Americans; 3 times the rate that go to whites, and 5 times the rate that go to Hispanics.

Only in America could we have had two of the people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner (former head of the Treasury Department) and Charles Rangel (who once ran the House Ways and Means Committee), BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes. In fact, the entire Administration is riddled with tax cheats and other corruption.

Only in America can we have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media and liberals react by worrying that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash from said attacks.

Only in America would we make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege, while the Left discusses letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just 'magically' become American citizens.

Only in America could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking to the country's Constitution be thought of as "extremists." And racists...

Only in America could you need to present a driver's license to cash a check, board an airplane, buy alcohol, or even get the power turned on to your house, but not to vote, and be branded a racist for even suggesting the need.

Only in America could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. Oil company (Marathon Oil) averages 12% profit. They take all the risk and the US government takes by force 18.4% to 24.4% in gas tax for taking zero risk and doing absolutely nothing for that revenue other than creating a law to force the oil companies to give it to them. So the government makes 6% to 12% more profit than the oil companies themselves on gas sales for doing absolutely nothing but using force.

Only in America could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a trillion dollars more than it has per year - for total spending of $7 million PER MINUTE, and the Left complains that it still doesn't have nearly enough money for all their programs.

Only in America could the so called "rich people", who pay 86% of all income taxes, be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any income taxes at all .

Only in America could law-abiding gun owners be characterized as lunatics while the Attorney General sells guns to Mexican drug lords to be used against Americans.

Only in America would Left-controlled schools and other institutions ban people from flying the American flag or wearing a patriotic t-shirt because it might offend people who came to this country to reap its benefits.

Only in America could illegal aliens be offered all the benefits of a citizen like government entitlements, driver's licences, tuition assistance and in-state tuition at universities while working under the table, paying no taxes, and sending most of that money overseas.

Only in America would veterans who fought for the freedoms of America be ostracized as terrorists, live homeless on steam grates, and be denied medical care on secret waiting lists at VA hospitals while lagabouts and illegals get treated as heroes.

Only in America could a Muslim terrorist kill 13 people on a military base while yelling "Allah Akbar" and have it called "workplace violence".

Only in America would the administration leave citizens to die in a terrorist attack and blame it on a YouTube video.

Only in America would the government promote an electric car with a 40-mile range, priced so high that only the wealthy can afford it as a status symbol, and then give the same wealthy people a huge tax break for buying it.

Only in America could politicians think that making more laws will fix the fact that current laws are either ignored or simply not enforced.

Only in America can the government expect people to believe the two years' worth of emails vanished on a broken hard drive to cover up the IRS systematically targeting people it dislikes.

Only in America could people in designer clothes, drinking designer coffee while using designer laptops and smartphones, protest corporations by shitting on cop cars, burning American flags, taking all manner of drugs and raping each other in parks, and causing giant garbage mountains.

Only in America could a filthy rich politician burn holes in the ozone layer with his giant mansion and jet trips all over the world lying about global warming and extorting millions from corporations for allegedly burning holes in the ozone layer.

Only in America could a filthy rich politician dictate to grown adults in a free society how much salt or soda they can ingest.

Only in America would the wife of a politician think she can dictate to a free society what they may eat while all the while eating Wagyu beef on vacation after vacation.

Only in America, speaking of vacations, could the average citizen be unable to afford a vacation while their President spends hundreds of millions on vacations around the globe.

Only in America could we be trillions in debt while still handing out billions to every begging nation with its hands out.

Only in America could the leader of the nation boast that he'll bankrupt entire industries and cause your bills to skyrocket and receive thunderous applause on the way to the golf links.

Only in America could we send money and soldiers to every Third World backwater to solve their problems while we fail to secure our own borders.

Only in America could we demand free dope for the poor while homeless veterans grow in number every day.

We live in a country where illegals pour across the border carrying all manner of infectious diseases that doctors are warned to keep quiet about under fear of arrest while the illegals are hailed as heroes and will be given the royal treatment, but a legally-visiting South African videographer is facing arrest for flying a camera-equipped drone above a fireworks display over water in Florida.





Jos Stiglingh flew his DJI Phantom 2 drone equipped with a GoPro Hero Silver camera into the midst of a West Palm Beach, Florida fireworks display, and the resulting footage is stunning - but also illegal. While authorities are cool with disease-ridden illegals streaming across the border like ants to the picnic, they frown upon tiny unmanned remote-controlled helicopters flying through fireworks. I argue that the exclusion zone rules in effect during fireworks displays are there to keep manned aircraft from accidental harm and to keep manned boats out from underneath falling cinders. Were the drone to be downed by a firework, well no one is on it to be hurt and ostensibly there's no one below it, right? At the worst, the owner is out a few hundred bucks for a drone and camera. Where the penalty for invading the United States by crossing the border illegally is free food, housing, medical care, amnesty, three years of tax-exempt status to start a business and eventual education benefits whether you even bother to learn English or not and having everyone cater to your home culture while taking every measure to not offend you with an American flag, the penalty for violating a safety zone is a $40,000 fine and for willful violations it is a Class D felony, punishable by at least five, but no more than 10 years in prison.



What the hell happened, America?  Detroit was once the world's richest city and is now America's first Third World city. We lose more Americans in Chicago on an average weekend to homicides than we do in Afghanistan. We used to be The Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. Now we're The Land of the Sheep and Home of the Slaves.


But who cares? Just keep the free stuff coming from Washington.

IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Brittish brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. Well, the Coke ad sure got people talking...

It'll rot your teeth and make you a fat obese slug in multiple languages and 200 countries.

Frankly, I'm kinda embarrassed that so many people who call themselves conservatives flooded social media with a torrent of negativity after Coke's Super Bowl ad aired. At best, you gave the Left more ammunition to use against Conservatives. Some of the comments generated were purely vile.

CLUE HAMMER: Not everyone here in this country started with English as a first language.

I'm the product of legal immigration. On my father's side, his father was conceived in Poland but born here, the last of at least ten kids. His parents asked to come over and came in legally. He married a girl from Wales during the war and brought her back in '45 after getting the proper permissions. My mother was born in Canada, and her parents asked for permission to emigrate and brought their four kids with them. Two of those kids served in the US Army as non-citizens. My mother eventually got her citizenship and I helped her study for the test.

Compared to some other folks I know whose families have been here since the 1800’s, I’m not that far removed from my immigrant roots. That said, I think it’s safe for me to sound off on immigration.

I have nothing against legal immigration. I perfectly understand the need and desire of people to come to America to build a better life for their families. Many of our immigrants come here from places with poor living conditions, civil war, wanton violence, oppression and corruption, and negligible healthcare. So hey, if you want to come here and start over, that’s great. But there’s gonna be some strings attached.

Ask. Yeah, ask if it’s okay. Apply for a visa. Get a green card. Register. Don’t sneak in here like a criminal. Don’t live under the radar, working under the table, not paying any taxes. If you want to live like an American, pay taxes like an American. Giving an inordinate amount of your hard-earned wages back to the government so they can waste it on $400.00 toilet seats is what makes our country great.

Try to assimilate into American culture. Learn the language. Like it or not, everyone, America is an English-speaking nation, and has been for the past 231 years. While I agree that more Americans should be multilingual and that it would certainly make your assimilation into our culture easier if more of us could communicate with you, don’t expect us to speak your language simply because you refuse to learn ours. I’m not saying to give up all semblance of the culture you grew up in; I celebrate aspects of my ancestral culture now and again, but I don’t live it every day. Don’t expect the United States to make Spanish our official second language just because half the country of Mexico has decided to come here looking for jobs. You could just as easily have emigrated to Spain; they have a vibrant economy too (or did until socialist policies effed it all up), and you already speak the language.

Don’t just expect to be handed American citizenship. Study a little, learn about the country, and pass the test. And when you do, I will proudly throw my arm around your shoulder and congratulate you as a fellow American citizen. My mom got her citizenship in 1993. Her only child was a US Army veteran, her husband was at the time still an officer in the US Navy, and she had spent the past 33 of her 41years living as an American, and she still had to be interviewed and pass a test before she could become a full citizen.

Perhaps we should make it a bit easier to become a citizen once you get here? I can see maybe dropping the time requirement to 3 years instead of 5 to apply for citizenship, but the rest of the criteria sound rational to me. These are the criteria, taken from nolo.com:

•you have lived in the United States as a lawful permanent resident for at least five years (with exceptions for refugees, people who get their green card through political asylum, spouses of U.S. citizens, and U.S. military personnel)
•you have been physically present in the United States for at least half of the last five years
•you have lived in the district or state where you are filing your application for at least three months
•you have not spent more than a year outside the United States
•you have not made your primary home in another country
•you are at least 18 years old
•you have good moral character
•you are able to speak, read, and write in English
•you are able to pass a test covering U.S. history and government, and
•you are willing to swear that you believe in the principles of the U.S. Constitution and will be loyal to the United States

NOTE: Serving in the US military does not grant you automatic citizenship. I think that should change. If you serve in our military, especially right now during times of war, you should be granted your citizenship automatically. People who are willing to fight for this country have proven themselves as far as I’m concerned, especially when so many of our own native-born citizens would rather occupy parks than serve the nation. And hey, it might actually boost recruiting numbers a bit. Serve at least 2 years and get citizenship. That sounds good to me. Two of my Canadian uncles served in the Vietnam War in the US Army as Canadian citizens. They weren't granted citizenship for their service. Neither of them opted to gain their citizenship afterwards, but both received full military honors at their funerals when they passed.

Despite our best efforts there’s always going to be people who want to come in illegally. When found, a hearing should be done to determine if they should be deported. There could be legitimate mitigating circumstances as to why this person had cause to fear authorities. But if you have no good reason for being here illegally, don’t let the doorknob hit you on the way out. And don’t expect to just apply to come back in; if you came here illegally, and we catch you, you’re banned. And I guarantee that instead of a fence along our borders, if we started sowing landmines and started shooting at people sneaking in, they’d take us a hell of a lot more seriously. Like I said, ask us if you can come over. Otherwise, you risk losing a leg or maybe more.

Yes, this sounds cold & harsh. I know I sound like a terrible person. But it’s also terrible to just let every swingin’ Richard cross into our borders at will. Lax, open immigration is why we have illegals sucking up our tax dollars, using up healthcare that causes my insurance rates to go up, and in some cases receiving scholarship grants that should go to legal immigrants and citizens. Why the hell are illegals able to get a driver's license and in-state tuition? Because unscrupulous governments and liberal learning institutions want their money. Illegals or not, it's revenue.

Am I against illegal, undocumented immigration to my country? Absolutely. Am I in favor of legal, documented immigration? You bet. I welcome you with open arms and I’ll even help you study for your citizenship test the way I helped my mother study for hers. Down the line, we all came here from somewhere else, except for the native Americans tribal nations.


But back to the Coke commercial. It was indeed weird to hear America The Beautiful being sung in languages other than English. I know that the CEO of Coke, a Muslim fellow who grew up partly in terrorist-sponsor hotspot Iran and partly in the same country as Barry Sotero (Um, I mean Barack Obama), in Indonesia, is in favor of blanket amnesty for illegals. This commercial is a blatantly political statement to gain favor with the immigrant population...or is it? It could be just a simple celebration of the Great American Melting Pot... geared to lure conservatives into making rash statements all over social media and hurt our cause.



I know full-well what it’s like to be in another country where you don’t speak the language. I lived in Germany for two years. I got by as best I could while making an honest effort to learn the language. Of course, I was there as a temporary guest of the German government and the locals made very courteous allowances for the language barrier. It really helped that most of the locals spoke excellent English. I realize that very few of us Yanqui gringoes habla Espanol. Mierda Resistente , ese.

Had I been planning on staying there in Germany as a local beyond my tour of duty, they’d have been fully within the right to expect me to spreche Deutsche and learn better German instead of expecting them to cater to my lack of fluency. So by the same token, if you’re gonna live here, make an honest effort to learn English and fit in instead of expecting all of us to just cater to you.

Of course, the Hispanic community creates that Catch-22 situation where it’s easy to skate by, having so many Spanish-language radio stations, newspapers, and TV stations that it becomes easy to slip between the cracks and maintain the underground existence.

I’m not saying you have to abandon your heritage and ancestry. Hell, look at me; I own a kilt. But face it. This is an English speaking country. That’s how we roll.

 And for you immigrants from the Muslim countries, this is also a predominantly Christian country where women can do pretty much whatever they want. We don’t do Sharia Law, we don’t wear burkas, and we don’t kill our women over perceived slights to our honor. Get over it.

And please, save the story about how the white Anglo-European invaders stole half of Mexico to make California, Arizona, and Texas, and then stole the rest of America from the native tribes. That story is a couple hundred years old now and frankly, I can’t change what people did generations before my people showed up here. This country was already well established before my people got off the boat from Poland in 1914, got off the plane from the UK in 1945, or drove here from Canada in 1960. While it's shameful what was done to the indigenous peoples of the Americas, I can't change it.

I think Coke could have avoided all the controversy by adding a simple sentence to the end of the ad. You spent four million bucks to place the ad, and who knows how much to produce the ad, and it takes me, a blue collar college dropout, to  figure out the missing piece to the puzzle. You should have added this:

The Beauty of America: We have many first languages, but only one first country.
