Gator Bait?
We had a gator taken the first week of the season that was 13.5 feet in length and weighed 1,025 pounds. That's a lotta lizard, friends.
Some folks will argue the ethics of using bait to lure a gator in to be, um, dispatched. They say the best bait to use is rotten chicken. According to His Most Royal Racistness, King Samir Shabazz of the New Black Panther Party, the guy who hates every iota of a cracker and looks to kill a few cracker babies, it would appear the preferred alligator bait of choice is black babies.
Huh? What? Come again?
Well, it seems that everyone's favorite race-baiter thinks he knows a thing or two about gator-baiting. My current favorite hate monger appears in a new video from Election Journal spewing more of his vitriol, calling Fox News "Fox Jews" and making an absurd accusation about " the little black babies that you use as alligator bait..."
Come on now, Shabzie. If anything, white folks use our own babies as bait. As my wife pointed out to me, all we had to do was look at Steve Irwin.
And hey, while I'm pointing fingers, allow me to remind everyone that when Iranian dictator-slash-pond-scum Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was skulking about with those asstard jackanapes at the United Nations last week he had a private hushy-hushy get-together with Louis Farrakhan and representatives of the New Black Panther Party. Turds of a feather draw flies together...

Did I kill the Segway guy?
So...it seems that after I posted up my article Sunday blaming part of the Pussification of the police worldwide on things like Segway scooters and their ilk, I find out that Jimi Heselden was dead. The multi-millionaire English defense contractor who bought the company from the New Hampshire-based founders this past year had accidentally driven a new off-road version of the machine off a cliff, and his body was found in the river below with the crushed wreckage of the Segway nearby. Seems that it doesn't quite work as advertised yet.
Ain't that a bitch?

Police Pussification
I remember a time when cops drove burly cars that commanded respect. They weren't patrolling in little crackerboxes or golf carts, wearing embroidered polo shirts and cycling shorts.
They can still occasionally be found in serious, cop-looking cars like Chargers, Mustangs, Challengers, or a Camaro, and even for awhile the occasional Viper.
The other day I dropped by the mall to pick up Mrs. Steve's anniversary present from the jeweler's from getting re-sized, and THIS monstrosity was parked outside the mall:
It looked like R2D2 had humped a Segway. How could any self-respecting law-enforcement professional step up onto this thing and not expect to get laughed at?
Maybe in Europe it's cool to patrol in go-karts and electric scooters.......but over here it just leads to criminals that have no fear or respect for the police.
Next year the Pontiac G-8 will be resurrected from the ashes of the Government Motors meltdown and modified to be brought back as the Chevy Caprice (yeah, just rehash an old name when all else fails...it worked for the Ford Taurus) and there's gonna be a police version too....
Palmetto Pelosi Protest
Well kids, I finally popped my protest cherry. Many of you out there are long-time veterans of protests and tea parties and Glenn Beck events but I hadn't been able to attend anything up until now. Sometimes living 50 miles from the city, way out in Clyburn Country, is a detriment to my political activities. Often anything held during the week, like the Tax Day protests, occurs smack dab in the middle of my work day. Or, since my hours moved to starting at 4AM (which has me getting up at 2:30AM) the events would start several hours after I got off work, leaving me with the options of finding somewhere to nap in my car or getting home so late that I'd have to just walk in & go to bed, or going home, coming back, and then driving home again after the event, burning much gas in the process.
Well, yesterday provided me finally with a golden opportunity. My wife worked an overnight on Friday & would be asleep all day, and the group of fellow patriots would be meeting in downtown Charleston at 1130 AM. I could scoot down, do the event, and make it back before she even missed me. So I got up earlier than I wanted to, washed the mobile unit (she'd been looking sorely neglected...hard to see the blue through the dirt) and rolled out.
Her Unholiness, Madam Speaker Comrade Pelosi, was in town to beg money from a couple of groups. Her first stop was some restaurant I'd previously never heard of called Fish, nestled next to an art gallery on the very tony upper King Street block. Nope, no Denny's for her. Her later event was to kowtow and grovel at the feet of the NAACP, co-headlining with none other than Shirley "Am I Fired Or Not?" Sherrod. Turns out the park we were scheduled to meet at was the site of a Green Fair this weekend, so we looked a skosh conspicuous with FIRE PELOSI signs amidst booths full of vegan tofu wraps, hemp sacks passing for shirts, eco-friendly this and sustainable that, and lotsa good old fashioned capitalism geared towards Marxists. How ironic.
Getting set to march down the block. Such a menacing bunch we were...
We walked on over the the appointed place at the appointed time and peacefully & rather quietly held signs aloft in the roasting noon sun. We weren't hurling hate speech or throwing rocks or harassing passers-by & shoppers. If you get that many Liberals together in one place at the same time, they'd have looted 3 shops & set a car on fire in the first 6 minutes. We received hundreds of waves and toots of car horns from people agreeing with us. Some old dude crossed the street to ask us what we were doing, said he was a Democrat, crossed the street again, and proceeded to flip us off from safety. That's okay, Gramps...you're number one with us too.
Several very bored and disinterested Charleston city cops milled about nearby, I guess waiting for us to start tossing Molotovs and rampaging about. The simpering owner of the art gallery, rather than ask any of us, instead skulked across the street to complain to the local constabulary and have them come over & ask us to not stand in front of his shop. I guess we might have been keeping his tens of customers at bay.... Dude, in this economy who's realistically coming in to buy your overpriced representations of quaint antebellum Chucktown and impressionistic LSD-fueled hallucinations on canvas?
Every so often we'd put together a few chants of "Hey Hey Ho Ho , Pelosi & Reid & Obama must go" but we're not really the chanting types. Instead what could generally be heard was the insults being yelled by the sole, single counter-protester across the street. Yeah, all the Left could muster for Pelosi was one guy, later identified by the newspaper as a Daniel James, standing in front of a shop with "Closed for Business" on the windows, holding a scribbled cardboard sign in a mop handle that said "She is smarter than all of you----God" and busily texting on his iPhone telling all his Liberal buttbuddies to look for him on the news.
Seriously? I mean, seriously? Hey, you in the flip flops....she said we had to pass a bill to find out what was in it. She called illegal aliens patriots. She said her favorite word is the word. She thinks the fastest way to make jobs is by issuing unemployment checks. And she's smarter than all of us?
Rather than face us, Nancy was hustled in the back door. I guess there weren't enough TV cameras about for her to wave us off with her Speaker's gavel like a cudgel. Enjoy it now, Pelosi....you'll be FORMER Speaker soon enough.
And hey, City of Charleston....thanks for deploying at least three cops and a drive-by supervisor to watch fewer than 30 people stand in front of a restaurant peacefully, and then say nothing to the guy across the street hurling insults and trying to agitate a response from us. We were gone in just over an hour and I'm sure someone had vegan donuts over at the Green Fair. Besides, the park was full of bikin-clad sunbathing College of Charleston tarts and we were keeping you from dutifully patrolling the grounds.

9/11: Where's the memorial?
Each year I write a commemorative 9/11 article. This year my tone is just a little more angry and less introspective than in previous years...so be it.
For last year's article go here. For 2008, go here. And for 2007, go here.
"At Ground Zero there is the most eloquent statement about America in the early 21st century, and that is a seven-story hole. 9/11 was something that America's enemies did to us. The hole in the ground a decade later is something we did to ourselves. It is a mark of shame that that hole is still there in 2010." –Mark Steyn
The 55-story, 1200 foot tall, $1Billion Bank of America Tower.
The 1,046 foot tall, 52-story New York Times Building.
The nearly completed, 76-floor Beekman Tower in Manhattan, due to finish this year.
The 54-story , 806-foot Bloomberg Tower, housing the company owned by the mayor.
The $1.1 Billion twin towers of the Time Warner Center, each 55 floors and 750-feet tall.
The 749-foot tall, 44-floor Goldman Sachs Building at 200 West.
The 740-foot, 52-floor rebuilt 7 World Trade Center building.
The 726-foot, 47 story Times Square Tower.
The 684-foot, 52-floor Random House Tower.
The 673-foot, 56-floor Barclay Tower.
The 653-foot, 60 story twin buildings of the Silver Towers.
The 618-foot , 55-floor building at 425 Fifth Avenue.
The 615-foot, 58-floor building known as The Epic.
The 603-foot, 58-floor building known as The Orion.
Besides being on the list of New York City’s list of 100 Tallest Buildings, these structures are also on another list. Other buildings on that list include:
The $1.6 Billion new stadium at The Meadowlands for the New York Jets and New York Giants football teams, with seating for 82,566 fans, including 10,005 club seats and approximately 218 luxury suites.
The $2.3 Billion new Yankee Stadium (including $1.2 Billion in taxpayer subsidies), with room for 52,325 (including standing room), with 13,751 club seats and 68 luxury suites.
The $375 Million Prudential Center across the river in beautiful downtown Newark, NJ, home of the New Jersey Devils hockey team, and home of the New Jersey Nets basketball team until the Barclays Center opens for them to continue losing in. And speaking of the Barclays Center, that’s gonna be $800 Million over in Brooklyn as part of a $4.9 Billion sports, business, and residential complex.
These buildings, worth billions upon billions, are all on the same list. All of them are projects that either finished or completed, or started and mostly completed, SINCE 9/11. Yeah, all that steel and brick and glass and concrete was built since 9/11 right there in New York City or just outside of it.
I guess we can also add into this list the rebuilt/repaired buildings of the World Financial Center complex. ONE , at 577 feet and 40 stories; TWO, at 645 feet and 44 stories; THREE, at 739 feet and 51 stories; FOUR, at 500 feet and 34 stories; the 45,000 square foot, 10-story vaulted glass atrium of The Winter Garden; and the 16-story NYMEX Building, home of the New York Mercantile Exchange and NewYork Board of Trade.
So riddle me this: why is it that they can build all of this in proximity to that giant hole where the World Trade Center stood, and no one can seemingly put together a decent memorial for the thousands who perished in the attack?
Seemingly, gone are the days when we erected large memorials and monuments to those who came before us or who gave their lives. The Marine Corps War Memorial, most often called the Iwo Jima Monument, was one of the last large monuments built, I think. The troops themselves are 32 feet tall and the flagpole is 60 feet long. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is much less ostentatious, tapering downwards from a center height of just 10.1 feet. The accompanying monument The Three Soldiers shows the men pretty much life size, as are the three statues comprising the Vietnam Women’s Memorial. The walls of the Korean War Veterans Memorial seem even shorter, but the 19 service members depicted in the memorial’s statues range in height from 7’3” to 7’6”, a bit larger than life. Thankfully, the National World War Two Memorial is big, on a grand scale that befits the nature of the memorial and what it represents.
To my knowledge there is no dedicated national memorial for the troops of Operation Desert Storm, nor am I expecting anything any time soon for those who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.
But as for the victims of the Islamic terrorist actions on 9/11….well, at the Pentagon there’s a small indoor memorial and construction continues on an outdoor memorial with benches, a pond, and maple trees. In Shanksville, Pennsylvania there is also a memorial of benches, for those who perished on Flight 93. The largest terrorist attack on our country’s history, and 9 years later all we have are some benches, trees, a couple plaques, and a seven-story deep crater.
By the time Flight 93 went down, those people on the plane knew what was going on. They made a conscious effort to stop the attack and gave their all. And here's their grave marker-sized memorial in Shanksville. We all say we'll never forget, but where are the larger than life memorials to these larger than life sacrifices? Fictional boxer Rocky Balboa has a statue in Philadelphia. There's a big statue of Michael Jordan in front of the United Center in Chicago. They made a giant statue of Michael Jackson to float on a barge down the Thames. Milwaukee boasts a life-sized bronze Fonz. Oddly enough, various towns in Serbia of all places are erecting statues to memorialize Tarzan, Rocky (again?) and Bruce Lee. Metropolis, Illinois boasts a 15-foot tall Superman and the University of Maryland has a statue of Jim Henson on a bench chatting with Kermit the Frog. A fictional muppet gets a statue, and American terror victims get trees and benches. A comic book character and a pop star made of plastic get giant statues, and America seems to want to forget to memorialize those she claims she'll "never forget."
What I don’t quite get is why the Flight 93 Memorial’s original design was in the shape of a red crescent that looks, either by accident or intentionally by design, remarkably like an Islamic crescent. I shit you not. Furthermore, it almost seemed to be on an azimuth pointing towards…..Mecca? That's peculiar....After much vociferous protest, the design has been changed. Yeah, the last thing we needed was all of Islam laughing each fall as a crescent red with autumnal maple leaves embraced the site where a planeload of people died to keep the plane from hitting another target.Yeah, seriously...the original Flight 93 Memorial was in a crescent shape...
Next year , though, we’ll be close to the opening of an even bigger affront from The Religion of Peace if plans go ahead of building what’s become known as the Ground Zero Mosque. For all of you who cling bitterly to this notion that it’s just a coincidence that they want to build a 13-story mosque and “community center “ (Islamo-speak for “Terrorist Recruiting Office”), I ask this:what the hell is wrong with you? Are you really that bloody naïve? Given the long history of mosque-building following Muslim military victories, the building of the mosque on Ground Zero will be seen in the same light as the Muslim conquests of Mecca, Jerusalem, Damascus, and Constantinople.
They’re calling this little piece if Islam the Cordoba House Project…unfamiliar with Cordoba? It was once called Qurtaba in Arabic. It’s a city in Andalusia in northern Spain. An Iberian and Roman city in ancient times, in the Middle Ages it was capital of an Islamic caliphate. When the Muslim Umayyad Moors conquered the city, they opted in 784 AD to wipe away the Visigothic Christian cathedral, there since 600 AD, and replace it with their own Great Mosque of Cordoba. In its long history of conquest, Islam has habitually converted the sacred shrines of its enemies into mosques. A look at the world's most famous mosques lays bare the fact that many were former houses of worships of defeated enemies.
The sacred shrine of Islam in Mecca? Former pagan house of worship that predated Islam by hundreds of years. Mohammed himself, after his army's conquest of Mecca in 630, destroyed hundreds of idols, proclaiming the truth of his new religion. Since then it has become the site of the annual Muslim pilgrimage, the hajj, and the core pillar of Islam. Following the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem, the Ummayad Caliphate proceeded to build the Dome of the Rock, the Masjid Qubat al-Sakhra, on top of the Jewish Temple Mount in 689. Yeah, that Temple Mount…you know, where Jesus gave His sermon? Having defeated their Christian enemies, the Umayyads built a grand mosque on top of Judaism's most sacred site that contained a clear declaration of Muslim supremacy over their brother Abrahamic religions.
We come in peace...so peacefully embrace Allah or we shall kill you all...
The Grand Mosque of Damascus, also known as the Umayyad Mosque, was converted from a church dedicated to John the Baptist in 705. The world-renown Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, now a museum, was a thousand year-old Christian church before being transformed into a mosque following the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople in 1453. Over the long history of Muslim territorial advance, thousands of mosques, from Spain to India, were built on sites of important religious or political value to their defeated foes. Inmdia, you say? Yeah, don’t forget the millions in India who became Muslims, later breaking away from the mother country to form the nations of Bangladesh and Pakistan. Indeed, the very first mosque known to have been built in India was built using stone from a Jain temple. (Jainism is an ancient religion that prescribes a path of non-violence towards all living beings. This explains why the mosque was built on ruins; they didn't fight back.) In Indonesia, what started as traders who brought Islam with them turned into fortified trading outposts and then forced conversions. How many Buddhist structures remain in Indonesia? Where are all the Hindu and Buddhist temples that once could be found everywhere in the East Indies, for they were Hindu and Buddhist enclaves until the forces of Islam conquered. Where did they all go?
Whenever the marauding Arabs (bringing Islam with them) conquered lands, they found established communities of Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and, in Persia, Zoroastrians. These people did not disappear; they were not converted in large numbers overnight. It took centuries of having to endure Muslim rule, and the status of being reduced to tolerated dhimmis, that is, a status of humiliation, degradation, and physical insecurity, that led inexorably to more and more people converting to Islam, to join the group of permanent overlords and masters. The pace of such conversion quickened as those who had remained steadfast saw so many others convert, thereby changing their status and at once improving their treatment from being the slaves of Islam's practitioners to being slaves of Islam itself.
And before you say this was all stuff that happened a thousand years ago, I point out that Muammar Khaddafi, the dictator of Libya, converted 78 synagogues into mosques in the 1970’s. In 1975, the Great Synagogue of Oran was confiscated by the Algerian government and similarly transformed into a mosque. Need more modern reminders? Just look at the Islamic takeover in England….
And in Islam it’s a grave insult to show someone the bottom of your feet, as the foot walks through all sorts of unclean things like dirt, camel turds, and car-bomb residue, which is why they throw shows at people or were seen beating the toppled statues of Saddam Hussein with their shoes, and if you place a mosque 600 feet from Ground Zero, you know have the symbolic victory was hundreds of Muslims walking across Ground Zero and the areas where people died at the hands of Islamo-terrorists to get to their Victory Mosque, thinking all the while that they are trampling upon their enemies.
Is it the right of American citizens to build what they want on their own private property providing it falls legally within proper zoning? Yes. Is it the right of American citizens to freely worship as they wish? Yes. But when your wishes are prejudicial to the public good and to the keeping of otrder, then maybe you should reconsider? The same can be said for that Jed Clampett-looking preacher in Gainesville who wants to burn Korans when he’s not running a possible cult compound…is it his right to burn Korans? Yes. Should he? I doubt it.
On the same token, I don’t recommend excercising your freedom of speech to yell “FIRE!” in a crowded theater. That’s prejudicial to good order and public safety and will likely get people hurt. I also don’t recommend burning American flags in protest around me. While it’s your right and I defend your right to do it, I’m also likely to stomp you in the genitals.
There’s also something not right about the funding of this mosque either. I mean, it’s fishier than Rosie O’Donnell’s boxer shorts. You’ve got a mosque foundation that’s got non-profit tax protections and has a bank account of barely $18,000 trying to put up a $100 Million building? Several people have tried to buy the property for outrageous sums to keep the mosque from being built, including a huge offer from media whore Donald Trump trying to get his name in the press, but somehow this little mosque project without a pot to piss in can buy it? Well, their Imam Rauf just got back from a massive fundraising tour paid for by American tax dollars under the thinly veiled bullshit disguise of more Muslim outreach for President B. Hussein Obama (Blessed Be His Name). Uncle Rauf is raking in millions from various nefarious sources in Saudi Arabia, a nation that is our ally until we turn our backs, supplying people to crash planes into buildings and millions in support to spread Wahhabism and Sharia Islam.
They want to open this mosque on September 11, 2011. I shit you not. They want to open their doors on the tenth anniversary of the attack. That takes enormous balls. And those without balls, spineless jellybacks like Bloomberg and Obama, are okay with this. There will be a 9-11 Ground Zero Victory Mosque long before we see a proper memorial at Ground Zero for the victims who were murdered there. Sixty years ago, with more primitive equipment, the Pentagon (still the world’s largest office building in floor space) was built in 18 months. So far, there is no memorial to those who were murdered at the World Trade Center. I’m sorry, but you have a seven-story deep hole as a memorial.
I have to send special thanks out there to a fellow named Andy Sullivan who called The Rush Limbaugh Show on Thursday, September 2, and made me realize all those projects were done since 9/11, and to Gabriel Scheinmann at Hudson and Hugh at Jihadwatch for some information contained herein.

I always feel like...somebody's watchin' meeeee...
It's no secret that my blog here, as well as the blogs of most of my Inner Circle, have been probed and scrutinized by the Feral Gubmint. Some of my more savvy blogger buddies have feed monitor widgets that have shown them that their sites were visited from computers within none other than the Department of Justice.
I'm pretty sure I've managed to make some sort of government watch list for allegedly being seditious. To that, I say....GOOD. I'm verily tickled that I'm on a watch list. In fact, I think I'd be a lil' butt-hurt if I wasn't being watched at this point. Hell, I think I'm on Muslim watch lists too, considering the amount of hits I get from Islamic nations. And now, to add to my growing list of detractors, I get to add the NAACP and their Soros-funded puppetmasters. How so? Because the race-baiters in the NAACP, with assistance from the jackbooted jackwagons of Media Matters, New Left Media, and Think Progress, have created the website www.teapartytracker.org to keep track of us wretched seditious racist bastards in the Tea Party Movement who dare to criticize Chairman Maobama and his retinue of Socialist Scumbags.
Eagerly twisting such evil things like the truth, or facts, these dicks have already exposed a guy who was the the Restoring Honor Rally wearing a T-shirt that read: "Blacks own Slaves in Mauritania, Sudan, Niger and Haiti." (Damn those pesky facts....confront them with the harsh truth that these countries still engaging in slavery are...GASP! black nations! and it becomes racism.) The NAACP has also posted a slideshow of photos it says are of offensive signs displayed at tea party rallies. And by offensive, they mean anything critical of the Obamessiah. That would be the same President Obama who warned us all to beware of shady organizations with innocuous patriotic sounding names who might be funding commercials for people who are against him.....when it's actually George-Soros-funded organizations with innocuous sounding names who are ripping this country asunder in the name of socialism.
Keep tracking me. I ain't going anywhere, except to work to keep on paying for all the lazy-assed slugs who expect me to pay their mortgages and buy their gas...

The 9/11 Hard Hat Pledge: Big Signup At Ground Zero on Sunday
Hey gang, heads up.
If you, like me, were listening to the Rush Limbaugh Show on Thursday afternoon and heard the caller named Andy who spoke with guest host Mark Steyn, then you also heard him mention a project called the 9/11 Hard Hat Pledge. Under this pledge, those who sign give their word to not contribute to building a mosque at that location with either goods or services.
I just got an email from Andy Sullivan, the man behind the project and behind the website Blue Collar Corner. He wanted to let me know that they are having a big sign-up tomorrow right at Ground Zero at 2:00 PM. That rocks!
If any of you out there who read this blog are hard hat construction types, go down and show Andy, and show America, some support. Go on down and remember those who perished there and let the world know that you simply do not support the building of a mosque at Ground Zero's hallowed ground.
If you can't make it, but still want to show your support, head over to the website and sign the online pledge.
More to come on this...stay tuned.

Conversations With Liberals
I'll admit it; I know a lot of people. Contrary to popular belief & public opinion, not all of them are Conservatives. In fact, I actually know a lot of Liberals. And not just casual Liberals....I'm talking SCREAMING, flaming Liberals who would feel right at home burning your storefront at a G20 protest.
Most of these Libs I know via my connections to various music fan forums. Something about the styles of music I like just attracts them like flies to fresh turds.
Some are Europeans; 'nuff said. Some of them I know from high school. Maine is full of liberal crunchy treehugger tofu eaters.
And strangely, a few of them were guys I knew in the Army who inexplicably became peacenik hippies, rampant users of illicit pharmaceuticals, militant pseudo-communists, or various combinations of the three.
And since I am rather active on Facebook I get to interact with them quite regularly with sometimes spectacular results when a conversations strays from the innocuous into the incendiary. Truth be told, I get along with them all really well until the conversation turns political, or relates to social issues that they don't agree with. Then by & large most of them become quite nasty & vile. I stopped bringing up my politics on Facebook because so few of my friends there are fellow Conservatives. In fact, out of nearly 400 friends, I have maybe 10 actively Conservative vocal friends and another 15 who share my views but don't talk about them. There's probably a hundred-plus Liberals, most of them hard-cores. The rest are just ambivalent, sad to say.
I thought I'd share a few of my recent experiences with ya'll.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back on July 23d, a guy I went to high school with put up what he thought was a funny Obama picture. He thought he was cleverly supporting The Obamessiah in his efforts to fix the BP Oil Spill and, ostensibly, the economy. He did such a great job with both.
ME: Try harder in between vacations
Liberal Friend’s Liberal Friend:
Gotta pipe in here: Obama's predecessor took MORE VACATION TIME THAN ANY OTHER PRESIDENT IN US HISTORY. Obama has taken a sliver of vaca as compared to "We'll git them terrorists... now watch me hit this slice shot."
ME:
Last statistic I read showed Obama playing golf more times in his first year than W did in 8. Laser-like focus on jobs, right after I nationalize private industry and raise taxes to cover the largest debt in history. Let's have a speech to proclaim all this miraculous job growth and highlight it by showcasing three people out of work for two years. Yeah, three examples of job growth, so expand unemployment to be a permanent lifetime weekly entitlement...
Liberal Friend’s Liberal Friend:
Yeah those Fox News statistics are always trustworthy. You really think GWB was a more competent president than Obama? Really? Like as in, you're being serious? If so, I've got a wonderful bridge in Brooklyn I'm looking to sell.
ME:
I never once said he was more competent. In fact I think he was relatively mediocre. You're auto-magically assuming I'm a Bush fan because I'm a Conservative and I don't care for Obama. Those generalities are great, huh? Matter of fact, the Left's beloved Huffington Post linked to an article about it in April
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/04/http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/04/24/barack-obama-golf-trips-a_n_550635.html
And on that note, I'ma leave this lil' conversation, because nothing I say, and nothing you say, is going to change either of our opinions. Good morrow to you, sir.
Liberal Friend’s Liberal Friend:
Obama's major flaw (and it's a big one) is that, unlike GWB, he is actively trying to appease people who are on the opposite side of the ideological spectrum. The trainwreck of this woman getting fired, then rehired, for what Fox (quite incorrectly) said were racist statements is the perfect example of this –Obama and the Dems are petrified that Fox News might have something on them, and will bend over backwards to not appear too liberal or "soft", whereas GWB couldn't have cared less what Dems thought of him. Therefore, practically everything Obama has accomplished is watered-down, due to concessions to Republicans, who somehow still find the gall to claim that he doesn't listen to them. What a clusterfuck.
Yeah, I fired back at him with a HuffPo article that echoed what I said. Nothing like their own medicine used against them. I could have continued but nothing I said would have made a difference.

I shave my head, as in bald, to the skin, with a razor. I've tried a lot of shaving products and finally found that I really liked a gel from Bump Patrol. I joined their Facebook page & received some free samples in the mail for my efforts. Being a white guy, I seem to not be their target customer. Bump Patrol is generally marketed towards younger urban males of the African American persuasion. The middle-aged white guy isn't in their target demographic I guess. Well, back on August 2d, they tried to pander to their Facebook fans by crowing about Obama visiting Atlanta, where their corporate offices are. Their 1600-member audience audience was so non-plussed that I was the first person to comment some 45 minutes or so after they posted. It took them almost 2 & a half hours to respond. The only other respondent was 9 hours later, and it was ANOTHER white guy, from Mississippi. This tells me that they might wanna switch their demographic and that Young Black America could care less.
Bump Patrol :
Obama is visiting our hometown of ATL today! What is the one question you would want to ask our President if you got the chance?
President Obama to Visit Atlanta on Monday - 11Alive.com | WXIA | Atlanta, GA
ATLANTA-- For the first time since taking office, President Barack Obama will visit Atlanta on Monday to address the Disabled American Veterans national convention and attend a fundraising lunch.

ME:
Why do you hate America so much that you'd turn it into a socialist wasteland while blaming it on Bush and calling anyone who disagrees with you a racist?
August 2 at 11:00am
Bump Patrol:
Hey, at least you are honest... It's important to get all views, let's keep the discussion "smooth" and respectable. Alright fellas?

Other Dude:
Why don’t you do what the people want instead of what you think we want

Nothing like a little character assassination every now and again to discredit the people you disagree with, eh?
Wikileaks rape warrant cancelled
An arrest warrant for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange on rape accusations is abruptly cancelled by Swedish authorities just hours after it was issued.

Last week, one of my music friends, who lives in Baltimore, finally heard about the big Restoring Honor Rally that Glenn Beck put on in DC. How she managed to go so long without hearing about it blows me away. While she never commented past her initial statement, her liberal loudmouth friends chimed right in.
LIBERAL FRIEND:
Just heard Glenn Beck is coming to DC this weekend for a huge Tea Party event of some kind. Glad I'm leaving town.
ME:
It's not political and has nothing to do with the Tea Party. It's intended to be a charity rally to benefit the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, scholarships for kids of fallen troops. Gonna be a madhouse of people though. Not for me. Too crowded.
LIBERAL FRIEND’S LIBERAL FRIEND A:
LOL @ the idea of Glenn Beck pretending his event's not going to be political. He's a Teabagger, his audience are nearly all Teabaggers, and no one in hell who's not a Glenn Beck fan is going to attend a rally he's sponsoring. QED: Tea Party by default.
LIBERAL FRIEND’S LIBERAL FRIEND B:
It's a Glenn Beck/Sarah Palin event. Not political at all!
ME:
Wow. This turned ugly even faster than I expected. I should have known better.
LIBERAL FRIEND’S LIBERAL FRIEND A:
Ugly? Well... okay. I thought by avoiding bad language and personal attacks I was keeping it polite, but I apologize if you found offense in my statement.
(NOTE: No, you hideous twat…you basicallly called me a liar, and that’s not ugly, and calling me a teabagger wasn’t personal)
LIBERAL FRIEND’S LIBERAL FRIEND C:
Alan Henry http://www.oliverwillis.com/2010/08/25/martin-luther-king-jr-s-son-slaps-glenn-beck-around-for-his-perversion-of-history/
(Note: This kid was an African American who didn’t bother to comment, just merely inserted a link that by default asserts his belief that Beck was stealing 8/28 from the black community, since according to their self-appointed speokecreatures the date of 8-28 belongs solely to Black America, and only Black America is allowed to do anything even remotely close to the Lincoln Memorial)

And finally, back to that high school friend again, an openly gay theater actor in DC. He seems to have a serious axe to grind against Glenn Beck and the horrible, hateful, evil concept of Restoring Honor, as evidenced by this picture that he not only posted, but he actually created at the Cheezburger website.
LIBERAL FRIEND:
If Beck (as in the guy who did "Loser" and "Where It's At") and Rush (as in the Canadian power trio) ever tour together, betcha a large part of their audience will be some mighty confused teabaggers.
Yeah, these are your tolerant, loving, kind & gentle Liberals, so long as you don't dare to disagree.
