Peaceful Gun-Control Liberals and their Cesspool Killing Fields

Overall, it ain't been a good year for Baltimorons, and this past Memorial Day weekend was no exception. Barely a month removed from mayhem and ignorant animalistic hooliganism during the Mayor-sanctioned riots, the long holiday weekend saw 29 shootings in Baltimore with 9 of them fatal. Among the wounded was a 17-year-old boy shot in the arm and a 9-year-old boy shot in the leg, according to local sources.

 The violence began during the weekend and spilled into Monday, with two more people killed shortly after Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake (D, as if that’s a surprise) met with the Baltimore Police Department to discuss the violence and likely lay the blame upon their shoulders. Oh, wait...there were three more shootings overnight Monday so the weekend total was actually 32.

It seems in the Charm City there have been 38 homicides so far this month and 111 this year. By comparison, New York City -- with a significantly higher population -- has seen 118 murders this year. To be exact, Baltimore had a 2010 population of a little over 622,000 and a greater metro area of nearly 2.7 million people. The Big Apple clocks in with around 8.5 million and a greater metro area of a staggering 24.5 million. 

Nashville, with a population of about 658,000, has only seen six homicides this month and 21 for the year so far. Louisville, whose population is about 20,000 less than Baltimore's, has only had three homicides for the month and 28 for the year. Las Vegas (603,488) has recorded 12 homicides in May  and 41 for the year; Denver (663,862) has logged just two homicides this month and its yearly total matches Baltimore's monthly tally. Even sixth-largest metro area Boston, which has a population 645,966 and a greater metro area of 8 million, has had just one homicide for the month of May and 15 for year-to date.

 

Her Mayorship is "disheartened and frustrated by this continuing violence, particularly when you think about the progress that the city has made," said her spokesman, Howard Libit.

Progress? What in the serious f-bomb are you talking about? The Mayor gets quoted as saying the rioters had free reign to destroy a neighborhood. Businesses were looted and burned. People lost their jobs and livelihoods. Property, both municipal and private, was destroyed. What that bunch of scumbags destroyed in 20 hours will take 20 years to recover from. Hooray, Progress!

However, not to be outdone by the 20th largest metro area in the country, the nation's third-largest city (and first in gun control), Chicago, saw a staggering 56 people shot over the holiday, 12 fatally. Hell, go here to see dashcam footage of a shooting this past weekend. And of course, this isn't an anomaly. It's the norm. And this right after Supreme Leader Rahm Emanuel was sworn in to another term as Ringleader of the Freak Show that is the Socialist Republik of the Windy City, with an inaugural speech that focused on young people and violence. And right on cue, the guy in charge of the city with the most idiotically strict gun laws in a nation where your right to own a firearm is guaranteed by the Constitution, what did he do? Called for stricter gun laws!

You stupid mother effing liberals. You've shamed the Boy Scouts into banning water guns. You blame the NRA, an organization of legal gun owners and hunting enthusiasts, for your inner city crime problems, when the murders are committed by criminals with illegally obtained guns. And it doesn't stop there. A kid makes a finger gun at recess? SUSPENDED! A kid has a gun company logo on a t-shirt? SUSPENDED! A kid has a miniature plastic gun that came off an action figure six inches tall? SUSPENDED! A kid bites a Pop Tart into a shape that could possibly be construed as a gun if you close one eye and think Rorschach thoughts? SUSPENDED! So of course, stricter gun laws are in order. How much stricter can they possibly be? Banning the word "gun"?  Ban the use of phrases in sports like "bullet pass", "shotgun formation", and "long bomb"? People will no longer be allowed to shoot the breeze or rifle through papers.

 Oh wait. It gets better. Turns out Mayor Hyphenated Name of the Baltimorons expects you and me to pay for the riots. And by pay, I mean, quite literally, pay the cost of her idiocy and the criminal behavior of her constituents.

Dozens of stores smashed and looted. Hundreds of cars destroyed, including but sure as hell not limited to city-owned police vehicles. Over 159 fires set, including one that burned down an old age home. The city just released its estimate of damages and it comes to about $20 million. 

Henry J. Raymond, Baltimore’s finance director, said the city can temporarily cover the costs from its discretionary "rainy day" fund while seeking reimbursement for up to 75 percent from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. “The city remains on strong financial footing,” Raymond said. “Hopefully, with the FEMA reimbursement, it will reduce the financial stress that we’re under. In terms of the city’s overall revenue structure, we’re on firm footing and we’ll move forward.”

You idiots. You let your animals out of their cages and allowed them to run amok and now you want the American taxpayer to foot the bill by raiding the coffers of something that is intended to help people after floods, fires, tornadoes, and hurricanes. You know, actual natural disasters and not berserker rages by thugs and hoodlums.

Sorry, Texas. Yp're a red state. Nothing for you; we gotta pay for rioters and criminal in a blue state.

People in Texas just watched actual houses be picked up by flood waters 40 feet deep and carried away miles downstream to be bashed against bridges, killing terrified people inside who tried to shelter from the storms, and you expect the FEMA funds that should help them rebuild what you allowed to be destroyed when your animals left their cages?

So, in the past year, liberal-controlled Chicago and Detroit have festered and continued to decline further into decay. Democrats fiddled while Ferguson burned. Liberal Baltimore is a freshly-picked scab oozing ichor. What's next? Funny you should ask. Could be another of the cities I've mentioned before, in a list of the ten most dangerous cities in America.

In my humble opinion, Cleveland is the next Liberal stronghold to ignite and burn. It's been out of the national spotlight for awhile after  Just a few days ago, a white Cleveland cop was acquitted of manslaughter in the shooting deaths of a black man and woman in 2012 following a car chase.

The officer, Michael Brelo, was one of 13 officers who fired 137 rounds in 18 seconds at Timothy Russell and his passenger, Malissa Williams, who were killed after a chase on November 29, 2012. Officer Brelo fired his pistol 49 times, including at least 15 shots after he reloaded for a second time  and climbed onto the hood of Russell’s 1979 Chevrolet Malibu and the other officers had stopped firing. The chase started downtown after reports of gunfire from the car; prosecutors said the noise apparently was the result of the car’s backfiring. More than 100 officers in 62 cars pursued the car for more than 20 miles at speeds that reached 100 miles an hour. They began firing when the car was stopped and cornered. Russell was hit 23 times, four of the bullets fatal. Williams was hit 24 times, seven of which would have killed her.

I wasn’t there, of course, but it does sound more than just a tad excessive. Still, if you've done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide, why run? Why lead 62 cars and a hundred cops on a 20 mile chase?

In the aftermath, the Cleveland Police are under double-secret probation and are being kept on a very short leash by Democrat Mayor Frank Jackson. And, as expected, there were protests.

That doesn't endear you to people. It pisses them off and your ass is gonna get run over.

 After the verdict came on Saturday, 71 people were arrested during protests, but the streets have remained calm since then. Most people were arrested on misdemeanors, but four were arraigned Tuesday on felony charges. One, a high school senior, 18, was charged with assault and rioting. A 21-year-old art student was accused of throwing a rock at the police and of assaulting an officer, because art students are so peaceful.

But wait...Al Sharpton has arrived to save the day.  Huzzah! Call the TV stations!

When Al Sharpton got up to speak at the Olivet Institutional Baptist Church on Friday night, he was given a standing ovation. At what was billed as a “justice and reform revival”, attendees, mostly congregants of the church itself, had been primed by several hymns and scriptural invocations. Their pastor, reverend Jawanza Colvin, introduced the civil rights campaigner as “one of God’s trombones”. Sharpton proceeded to deliver a barn-burning speech that had the assembled on their feet and shouting praise, sometimes drowning out his words.

How come he owes the federal government $3 million in back taxes but still walks free to race bait and make money off tragedies? And his daugter sues the city of New York for $5 million after allegedly spraining her ankle and receiving a permanent injury falling on a city street, yet is spotted all over the Interwbz in heels ( hard to do with busted up ankles) and CLIMBING A MOUNTAIN in Nepal. A scamming liar like her father. The rotten apple never falls far from the tree.

Back to Cleveland. Why do I say it's next? Because hot on the heels of this acquittal, two other high-profile police-involved deaths still hang over the city: a boy holding a pellet gun fatally shot by a rookie patrolman and a mentally ill woman who died after officers took her to the ground and handcuffed her.

 

The deaths of 12-year-old Tamir Rice and 37-year-old Tanisha Anderson occurred just eight days apart last November. An investigation by the Cuyahoga County sheriff's department into Tamir's death is nearly finished and ready to be given to county prosecutors to decide whether to pursue criminal charges against the patrolman.

The status of the investigation into Tanisha Anderson's death is unclear. A medical examiner said she died of positional asphyxiation, which means she couldn't breathe, and ruled her death a homicide. Tamir and Anderson, like Williams and Russell, were black. The rookie officer who fatally shot Tamir is white. In the Anderson case, one officer is white and the other is black, although a family lawsuit does not make an issue of race. That's up to the good people of the NAACP,  revcom (The Revolutionary Communist Party) , #blacklivesmatter, and other sundry organizations.

 

Yup, these protests are brought to you by communists and home grown terrorists.

But anyways, I fully expect the agitators  to arrive spoon and whip the masses into a frenzy. Meanwhile, their erstwhile supporters will continue to dodge bullets fired by their neighbors over turf and drugs and other criminal enterprises, and blame Whitey, and blame Republicans, and blame everybody but themselves and the children they "raise" and the creatures they keep electing.

It's gonna be a long, hot summer, kids. Plenty of time to foment hate, riot, loot, burn, and blameshift. And we still have the long holiday weekend of July 4th to murder your fellows as we celebrate our freedoms, so make sure to shoplift some more ammo, Dem-Led Inner City Dwellers!

Ah, yes. The holiday season is upon us, and the Ferguson Grand Jury verdict came in just as the businesses destroyed by the August riots and lootings had just gotten back on their feet and as fate would have it, when stores were loaded up with product for Black Friday and the holiday weekend. Plenty of goodies to steal, because nothing honors the memory of a dead guy like stealing everything in sight and burning down your neighborhood.

Yeah, nothing says you care about your community like destroying what other people have. Now here we are in the midst of freezing weather and the pending holidays, and you savages have put dozens and dozens of people out of work by destroying their businesses.

What did that poor woman have to do with the death of Mike Brown? You just destroyed her livelihood, built by her hard work and with money she saved for years.

Every police car destroyed has to be replaced at the cost of taxpayer money, but you animals don't pay taxes, so what does it matter to you?

Not content with burning police cars, you then proceeded to torch a car dealership. Some of you vile cretins carjacked an old man, ran him over with his own car, and beat him with his oxygen tank. What the hell is wrong with you animals? Oh, that's right; it was just an old white dude so that's not racist, or even newsworthy.

And snitches get stitches, right? That's why 20-year old DeAndre Joshua was shot in the head as he sat in his car the other night as the riots started. He was rumored to have been a witness who testified at the Grand Jury hearings that exonerated Darren Wilson.

This violence was planned. It was per-meditated. Leaders of the local New Black Panthers were arrested days ago in possession of weapons while trying to buy materials to make pipe bombs.

Mike Brown's stepfather was filmed on live TV screaming for people to "Burn this bitch down!". Ironically his church was burned down by rioters. Days ago, a guy who was leading a "Fuck Tha Police" rally in Ferguson had his car stolen. Karma. Schadenfreude. Animals eventually turn on each other.

I take no joy in the fact that these people lost their son. I take no joy in the fact that another young man fell astray of the law and died as the result of his actions, but when you're high and rob a convenience store and then confront and beat a cop, it's hard to be overly sympathetic. Look, people, the Grand Jury, made up of volunteers from the community,and comprised of exactly the same racial makeup ratio as the community, listened to over 70 hours of evidence and testimony from over 60 witnesses and numerous forensic reports and exonerated Officer Wilson. But exonerated sure as hell doesn't mean he gets his life back. He will never work as a cop in Ferguson again. He'll likely have to move and leave the state in order to find some semblance of normalcy in a new location away from people threatening to kill him. As is, the New York Times is actively assisting those trying to kill him by publishing his home address so that vigilantes may more easily find him.

And where is Al Sharpton? Where is Jesse Jackson? Shouldn't they be there in Ferguson to stop the violence? Aw, hell nawwwwww....they're off looking for the next photo-op. And where is outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder? He visited in August to make sure the race-baiting flames were being fanned to take attention away from his boss, so why not make one final appearance to threaten Wislon with Federal charges now that the state case is closed? It would take attention away from Lord Obeezy circumventing the Constitution with Executive Orders on immigration. But that's a blog for another day.

Season's Beatings at Brawl Mart

I've done it in the past, not so much out of a deep-seeded need for anything being offered but more rather to observe the idiocy or because I was dragged. And while I've done it in the past it's not anything I ever plan on doing again, although there are those among you out there who positively relish the experience and revel in the chaos like it's a game.

Of course, I'm talking about Black Friday shopping.

As a rule, I eschew mobs and frenzied crowds. I'm not agoraphobic; I just don't like idiots, especially idiots in large groups. And really, what is a Black Friday crowd but a large group of people mere seconds away from turning into an animalistic mob after one idiot provokes another idiot after doing something idiotic, and taking the rest of them over the edge with idiocy??

Seldom do I see anything in the sales flyers that I desire, let alone desire enough to brave the angry throngs well before sunrise, clawing and shoving as they clamor for a discounted DVD. A couple years ago my wife got up early and spent an hour securing us a new flat screen for the bedroom at a decent price. I however was working. The fact that I generally work rather early the day after Thanksgiving means I seldom if ever give a second's thought to participating in the madness.

It's bad enough when people wear pj pants to Walmart but full on jammies and robes at Sears? STOP IT.

I recall in years past when you didn't know what the "deals" were going to be until they came out in the Thanksgiving Day paper. Now it's gotten so damnably competitive among retailers that the flyers get leaked on special websites days and even weeks in advance now so people can tag team and plan their assaults. I really don't remember any hullabaloo about Black Friday when I was a kid. Then suddenly it became stores opening really early, and then people standing in line at 4am, and then people camping out all night in frigid temperatures, and then stores opening at 10pm on Thanksgiving, and now, well, retailers are so desperate to part people from their wallets that they would rather sacrifice any semblance of it being a holiday whatsoever and open either at 5PM or just throw the whole day in the crapper and open like normal.

Thanksgiving used to be sacrosanct, one of the two or three days a year that pretty much every business would close so that employees could spend a well-deserved day with their families. My own employer is closed only two days a year, Thanksgiving and Christmas day. Now, I'm a capitalist and I believe in businesses being able to do business and make profits, but even I have to draw the line at forcing employees to be away from their families on one of the two biggest holidays of the year and I just can't be a part of shopping to support the decision of those businesses to be open on Thanksgiving.

However, some people I know were okay with working on Thanksgiving. One of my friends made about $600 for just one shift of work from overtime and holiday pay bonuses. And another of my friends had this to say, "Today I'm thankful to be working on Thanksgiving. 3 years ago, I did not have a job to go TO, and no hope of finding a steady one for several more months. Things were very, very bleak indeed. So when I say I'm grateful to have heat, lights, and a full day of work to come, it's 100% sincere. Enjoy your day!".

Just for laughs, after reading on Facebook how crowded my local Walmart was around 8PM Thursday, we drove by on our way home from dinner to see if it was the pandemonium being reported. On the way we passed the shopping center where the local Belk's department store was opening and it was indeed a zoo. I'd never seen the parking lot as packed as it was in the ten years I've lived here. Continuing on, the Walmart was indeed slammed, with overflow parking spilling into an adjoining strip mall's parking lot and onto the grass along the entrance road.

In my sleepy little village of 6,000, we have a rather nasty crime problem with folks shooting each other, mostly in gang-related predominantly black-on-black violence. I fully expected to hear horror stories from the local news about someone getting knifed or shot over a TV or XBox. However, none were reported. Instead, reports of lunacy abounded from elsewhere in the nation.

At 2AM things got nasty at the Franklin Mills Mall in Philadelphia, with it being caught on tape.  Conflicting reports of the fracas differ on whether or not a stun gun was used during the fight. A woman was trampled by fellow shoppers at a Walmart in Clinton, Utah, on Thursday night. Police told the Salt Lake Tribune that store employees brought out a pallet of computer tablets around 8PM and were in the process of cutting off the cellophane when about 200 shoppers rushed forward to grab the items. A video of the incident was posted to YouTube. The woman was knocked over and stepped on, according to police, but was unhurt.

In Rialto, California a police officer was injured, breaking his wrist, trying to defuse tensions in the parking lot of a Walmart over shoppers said to be cutting in line. The incident happened around 7PM local time on Thanksgiving. At least three people were involved in the fight and two were taken into custody.Police blamed the chaos on the store’s decision to open the doors an hour early on Thursday night to more than 3,000 people crowded outside. At a Chicago-area Kohl's store, police shot a man believed to be involved in a shoplifting incident escaping in a car that was dragging another officer who had become entangled in the car after struggling with the fleeing subject. The dragged officer suffered a shoulder injury, the Associated Press reported. Two men in Claypool Hill, Virginia, were arrested after one allegedly stabbed another with a knife during an argument over a parking space Thursday night at Walmart. The stab wound was deep enough to hit bone.

In New Jersey, a shopper was pepper-sprayed and arrested Thursday evening when a heated dispute with a fellow shopper over a television led to an argument with a Walmart manager. After the manager called for help, the shopper attacked a responding officer. Officers also ticketed a 29-year-old woman who spit on another woman's child during an argument over infant clothing at the same store, police said. Stay classy, Jersey. In Las Vegas, a man was was shot in the leg as he was walking to a nearby apartment complex after purchasing a big-screen TV at an area Target store and trying to wrestle his newly purchased big-screen TV back from a thief who had just grabbed it. In Florida a man was arrested late Thursday after leaving his 2-month-old son alone in his locked vehicle to stand in line at the Waterford Lakes Best Buy. In White Plains, New York, a Walmart was evacuated Friday after employees and shoppers were warned of a possible bomb threat.

I don't make a habit out of reading the HuffPo since it's usually Leftist twaddle, but they also noticed how crappy it's getting for Walmart on Black Friday/Gray Thursday. However, you sure as hell don't see Wally World stopping the madness, or staying closed, because they want your money at all costs. Again, I believe in business and profits, but filthy lucre amidst the mobs is just nuts.

It's becoming the new American holiday tradition.

In 2008, a Walmart worker was trampled to death in New York as 2,000 shoppers stormed the store at 5AM. Later that day, in Palm Desert, California two people\were shot to death at a fight at Toys R Us. I don't wanna grow up, indeed....

In 2010, a woman was arrested in Wisconsin who had cut in line, warning those unhappy with her that they would be shot. Also in 2010, several people were injured while fighting over towels that cost $1.28 at a Walmart in Texas. Last year, an argument over a Florida Walmart parking spot led to two people being shot. In 2011 in Phoenix, a grandfather was roughed up by police after he put a game in his waistband to free up his hands to lift his grandson above the crowd.  He was slammed to the ground by cops, who assumed that he was shoplifting. Also in 2011, 20 people suffered minor injuries at a Los Angeles Walmart when a woman used pepper spray on them to get to the front of the line when the store opened Thanksgiving evening.

And of course, since we like to export all our bad habits to the rest of the world, it seems only fitting that Black Friday violence should spill over to Europe as well. All sorts of violence was reported at various outlets of the Asda chain, owned by, who else, Walmart. In Belfast, a woman received a broken arm after being caught in a stampede over discount televisions, while elsewhere a pregnant woman was violently shoved and several elderly shoppers were knocked to the groun by a crowd. In a Bristol branch of the store, a man got in a heated argument with staff after being told he could only buy one cut-price TV. He was escorted away by security, before having to be restrained by five members of staff. After cutting one of their faces, he was arrested by the police.

Not quite the riots of your American cousins, but give it a couple years to catch on. Tis the season after all, and nothing says Happy Holidays like stomping people over a TV.
