Yet another political rant

So…the Left is demanding that Mitt Romney release at the very least, 10 years worth of tax returns?  Hell, the IRS only asks you to hang on to them for a maximum of seven years. Most people toss them after three. And you want ten?

You speak as if you think Mitt has something to hide.

Obama’s records from Noelani Elementary Scool and Punahou Prep School? SEALED
Obama’s name change records from Barry Sotero to Barack Hussein Obama? SEALED
Marriage license between Barack Sr. and Stanley Ann Dunham? SEALED
Obama’s adoption records? SEALED
Obama’s baptism records? SEALED
Records on Dunham and Obama’s repatriation to US from Indonesia? SEALED
Obama’s Selective Service records? SEALED
Obama’s records from Occidental College? SEALED
Obama’s records from Columbia University? SEALED
Obama’s records from Harvard? SEALED
Obama’s thesis papers? SEALED
Obama’s files from his time as an Illinois state senator? SEALED
Obama’s record with the Illinois State Bar Association? SEALED
Obama’s law client list? SEALED
Obama’s medical records? SEALED

And WTF is up with Obama’s Social Security Number? The number is associated with a Connecticut address at the time he was allegedly in Hawaii. Read more here.

The Dear Leader, B. Hussein Himself (Blessed Be His Name), can’t run on his record (which is abysmal) or his accomplishments (of which there are few), so he attacks Romney at every turn.

So Mitt has money. Big whoop. Most people in politics do. It’s a rich man’s sport. We get that. He has some money offshore? Hell, with US banks folding left & right during the Obama Reign, I’d stash a nest egg somewhere safe if I was able to as well.

It’s okay to bash Romney and any other Republicans who have money, but rich Liberals get a free ride.

Let’s see the financial reports & tax returns from rich Leftists like:

John Kerry (D-MA), who hides his multi-million dollar yacht in Rhode Island to avoid Massachussetts taxes.Kerry & his wife are worth over $750 million.
The Kennedy Clan (D-MA) .We made our money by smuggling booze during Prohibition.
Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), worth as much as $108 million
Jay Rockafeller (D-WV). The name says it all. Worth as much as $136 million
Herb Kohl (D-WI) is worth as much as $231 million
Jared Polis (D-CO) is worth up to $285 million.
Mark Warner (D-VA) is worth up to $283 million
Jane Harman (D-CA) is worth up to $435 million.
Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is only worth about $35 million.
Al Gore is worth over $100 million.
Mike Bloomberg is worth $22 BILLION.
Jon Corzine is worth about $300 million.
The Clintons are worth over $100 million.
The Oprah, who earned $290 million in 2010,while Mitt is worth a total of $250 million over all. Oprah is worth over $2.7 billion with a B.
Warren Buffet…worth over $44 BILLION

Democrat Mouthpiece Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) ranted & foamed at the mouth about Romney having an account with Swiss bank UBS, while she herself had money is a 401(k) a couple years ago that had investments in a Swiss bank as well as the government of India. It’s called a GLOBAL economy, princess.

The Left is populated by Marxists, Socialists, elitist class-warfare snobs, and it’s time to end their reign of terror. They hate money unless it’s THEIR money. They hate success unless it’s either their success or was handed out by the government. They pick and choose what rights to follow from the Constitution while ignoring others, and then seemingly create new rights out of thin air as entitlements. They babble about the future of energy by promoting trains and windmills.

Hope & Change? More like Epic Fail.

We interrupt this election to bring you these important distractions...

Distractions and hypocrisy; film at 11.....

How do you know when your re-election campaign is in trouble?
A: Your name is Obama
B: Your economy is in the crapper
C: You resort to clouding the issues with distractions, smoke & mirrors, and hypocrisy
D: All of the above

Wow...they are really circling the wagons at the White House in frantic mode, terrified of getting trounced in November. The distractions started early & often, anything & everything to take peoples' minds and attention away from a dead economy and a dismal failure of the administration to do anything positive.

To try and use the anniversary of the death of Bin Laden as the kickoff for your re-election campaign is a desperate move. "I got Bin Laden!"....no, you didn't. Stop saying you did. All you did was give the go-ahead order. The SEALs of DevGru (or what everyone keeps calling Team 6) got him. Pretty much the *only* good thing that happened on your watch, other than giving the go-ahead for another team of SEALs to waste those Somali pirates a couple years back. But face it, Obie... people are tired of hearing you take the credit as if you rode in on a magic unicorn and slew him yourself.

The War on Terror is over and you declared victory, huh? Tell that to the families of troops still being killed by the enemy overseas, bucko.

Pander the Hispanic vote by declaring war on states like Arizona and South Carolina for policing illegal immigrants that your administration refuses to even call illegals.

Then the smoke & mirrors of the Left trying to get people to rise up against the Catholic church with the birth control issue, and using the whole Sandra Fluck-Up episode to declare that the Right has a War on Women in a bid to score the Women Vote. Blatant pandering...

Oh, yes...Evil Republicans, stay out of my uterus unless it's to pay for my birth control and abortions!!!!

Truly masterful playing of the Race Card to say that if you had a son he'd look like Trayvon Martin. Gotta try & save the Black Vote, right?

And then Joe Biden screws the pooch and says you support gay marriage. First of all, why does this make the news now like you've had some sort of epiphany when the news never covered the fact that former Vice President Dick Cheney previously spoke publicly in favor of gay marriages & unions over 3 years ago, as his own daughter is gay? And getting Newsweek (who helped you sink Bachmann) to put you on the cover as The First Gay President? Brilliant. More blatant pandering to win the Gay Vote. Now, the problem you're gonna have is that most black voters don't support same-sex marriage so by pandering to one group you could lose the other.

And trying to portray Mitt Romney as the Robber Baron for the New Millennium to get the Middle Class Disenfranchised Vote? Wow. There's just a few problems with that.

Yeah, sure, he's a top hat & monocle away from being the Monopoly Man. He's worth over 250 million bucks. But look at the Hollywood elite that you surround yourself with and the gazillionaires who support you? Warren Buffet, estimated worth $47 BILLION. George Soros, your puppetmaster? About $20 billion. Oprah Winfrey? Over $2.7 billion. You bitch and bitch and bitch about the wealthy when you're wealthy and surround yourself with rich people. Your little private army of hippies in Occupy Wall Street? What would they have to say about Joe Biden's fundraiser dinner held at a private residence a couple weeks ago on Sullivan's Island, a very ritzy beachfront area across the river from Charleston, SC? That was only $10,000 a plate. The dinner you just had at George Clooney's house (and he's only worth $160 million) went for $40,000 a plate and was poised to raise you $15 million. You have another fundraiser coming up on June 6th at the home of the creator of the ridonkulous show "Glee", a bargain at just $25,000 a plate, to further lock down the gay and liberal Hollywood vote.

FOR THE RECORD: I have supported gay marriage and my gay friends for years. Here, here, here, and here,  for a start.

You have an anti-Romney attack ad out now that portrays Mitt as a vampire who sucked jobs away after a steel plant closed. The plant in question, GST Steel in Kansas City, had been purchased by Romney's former company, Bain Capital. The ad shows former employees bashing Romney as Evil Incarnate, but you fail to mention that the company folded about TWO YEARS after Romney left Bain Capital to fix the Salt Lake Olympics. Yeah, Romney was no longer in charge at Bain when this happened. And the current head of Bain Capital, Jonathan Levine? He's a big Obama supporter who bundles together hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations to the Obama campaign. Bundlers are, in campaign finance speak, folks who get around the campaign finance laws that limit contributions from any one individual by gathering contributions from many individuals in an organization or community and present the sum to the campaign.

A little hypocritical don'tcha think?

Tony James and Jonathan Lavine, private equity people supporting The Obamessiah...

Hmmm, should you really call Romney a vampire? That might send Twilight and True Blood fans to his campaign....

And after further pandering the gay vote and the Hispanic vote with a fundraiser at Rickey Martin's house, we end up at the home of Hamilton "Tony" James, head of Blackstone, another private equity company just like Bain. So, on one hand we bash Romney and Bain Capital and take money from Bain and its ilk with the other? Wow.

Here is the response to that ad by the Romney campaign. Interesting that it too uses a steel company, an industry that has been unbelievably volatile this past decade. I worked for a steel building manufacturer for a couple years in the early 2000s and speak from experience.

And then there's the whole episode over raising the interest rates on student loans...sure, make it sound like the evil Republicans wanna double the rates to get rich off the backs of poor students studying art history...blah blah blah. Look, the rates only went down on LAST YEAR'S loans, not from years before LAST YEAR and if the rates go up, the payments only go up about SIX BUCKS a month. You're starting a pissing contest over SIX BUCKS a month, six bucks that these morons spend DAILY on supermegaventi triple espresso double caramel mocha macchiato drinks at Starbucks as they snag free WiFi and talk about how oppressed and downtrodden they are in their North Face parkas, typing on iPads and iPhones and Macbooks. Gotta pander for the a-hole liberal knowitall college kid vote...

And then dredging up some forgotten incident from 1965 from where Mitt, who doesn't even remember the incident, allegedly cut the hair of a classmate as a prank? A classmate who may or may not have been gay, and has been dead for several years from liver cancer and can't speak on the subject himself, just to further pander to gay voters? That's just lame. Should Mitt now retaliate by bringing up that you used to eat dogs as a kid growing up in a foreign country raised by Muslim communists? I'm sure the PETA voters will love that.

Obama in 2009: "If I can’t fix the economy in three years, you can call me former President Obama......"

See ya'!!!!

The Four Horsemen of the Republicans, and the also-rans

As you all know, I live in the great state of South By God Carolina. I am not a native of the state but moved here of my own free will and have grown to love it here. It took a while but I am really finally embracing the mind-set of the South Carolinian: fiercely independent of the Federal government (or as I call it the Feral Gummint) while still maintaining strong Conservative values and pride in being Americans. Sure, the Civil War started here and we were the first state to secede from the Union, and I used to deride that & look down upon those facts, but when I start to compare my disgust at the actions of the clowns in Washington with bloated bureaucracy and over-reaching control over the citizenry, the more I can sort of understand why the Carolinians of 1860 really felt that secession was their only option to maintain states' rights and individual liberties.(Now, that said, I must also say that I do NOT agree with their major bone of contention in slave ownership; that practice is abhorrent and could not stand.) I think that is why the Tea Party had so much success here in SC.

So, here we are in 2012 and after much ballyhoo & mud-slinging, one by one the Presidential candidates on the Republican side were whittled down. Many of them were front-runners at one point and tripped over themselves or stepped on land mines laid by those on both the Left and Right.

Michelle Bachmann with her grating accent and helmet of hair... I liked her but her voice was like nails on a chalkboard, like Sarah Palin's... The Old Boy Network sank her early on, with help from that terrible Newsweek pic that the Left purposely used...the Left and their media lackeys turned her into the new Palin.

Jon Huntsman...all I could think was John DeLorean and a white linen suit and the Miami Vice theme, like he was just there to be on TV and be pretty...

Gary Johnson & Tim Pawlenty.....who? And seriously, there were runs by Fred Karger & Buddy Roemer? Again, who?

Rick Perry sounded too much like GWBush if you closed your eyes, and had just as much trouble speaking publicly; contrary to popular belief both are smart guys but just not very articulate. The Air Force doesn't let dumb people fly fighter jets. A great guy but the Left feared him so much they torpedoed him as soon as they could.

I liked Herman Cain, too. A non-politician, a businessman who was more interested in the economy than in golfing. However, as a novice surrounded by political sharks, his baggage (true or not) came back to overshadow his message.

And then there were four.....the final four cards we were dealt to defeat Obamunism in 2012....Mister Rogers, Big Government Republican, The Kook, and Ritchie Rich.

Rick Santorum....another great guy & a staunch Conservative but too rigidly religious in his message to reel in the independent voters and those on the Right who are simply not religious people. The Left sank him via his anti-abortion and anti-gay righteousness and Romney sank him with negative ads once he started losing states to Rick. Dude came across as a sweater-vested Mister Rogers to me though, too nice to defeat the Left in 2012.

My man, Newt Gingrich....I admit I was a Newt supporter from the get go. I saw him speak at a Tea Party event in April of 2011 before he announced his candidacy and we all knew right there that he could be The One to defeat Obama. He was on fire. He had a way of mesmerizing & rallying the entire room to cheers and ovations. I saw him speak again the night before the SC Primary and it was an exciting event with reporters from all over the world. I voted for him in the state primary; the only primary he won, and I don't regret it at all.

Why did Newt appeal to SC voters? He came across as a firebrand ready to take on the administration without backing down, and he'd have dismantled Obama in each & every debate, of this I am certain. We appreciate that sort of passion here, the passion that said "We want more state freedom to govern ourselves with less interference from Washington". The closest thing we had to a firebreathing Tea Party guy. BUT....his own baggage came back to haunt him. That fiery bluntness translated to a certain unlikeability with many voters. His own past as a big government progressive establishment Republican, his ethics investigation, and his marital woes with his ex wives poisoned his campaign. I was willing to look past his past failings & hope that he would lead us back from where we are today but folks like me were few & far between.

And then there were two....

Look, I know a lot of Conservatives who are Ron Paul supporters. One of my best friends from high school was a Paul supporter on the Libertarian ticket in 2008. They get called Paulbots and Ronulans and Paultards. The farther right you are the more you think he wears a tinfoil hat & looks for UFO's while he listens to Coast to Coast AM on the radio at night. The guy has some decent domestic ideas but as far as foreign policy goes, the guy's basically a freakin' kook. I have friends who can't wait to get to the RNC and see all the Paul banners & flags and cry their support for Ron Paul as he sweeps the convention and steals the nomination from the guy who already bought it....and yet the only race he's won was, what, Puerto Rico and that ain't even a state. Dude, give it up.

Mitt Romney. Our last resort. The only thing standing between us and four more disastrous years of Obama and even more draconian Socialist government is a guy who comes off as an effete, smarmy, insincere elitist jellyback.. The Left is attacking his personal wealth and his wife while neglecting the fact that most Liberal icons are filthy rich in ways that make Romney look positively blue collar (Yes, I'm talking to you, Oprah, and you, Warren Buffet, and you, George Soros.) and that the First Family is either golfing or vacationing on our dime more often than not while most of us can't even afford to go to a movie let alone go on a vacation.

It's hard to attack Obamacare when it's allegedly based on Romneycare. It's hard to appeal to the average working class Joe when you're worth 250 million bucks, have offshore bank accounts as tax shelters, and spent millions to drag your fellow Republicans through the mud. It's hard to accept a guy who tucked tail & dropped out of the last race so early. But this is what we've got and I guess as a collective whole we can only blame ourselves.

On the positive side, Obama is a failure and a disaster. His approval ratings are in the toilet. Even Democrats are tired of his lunacy. The problem is, so many blind, ignorant sheep voted for him in the first place that they'll just keep on doing it because they don't know any better. The ones who voted for him because he's black will do so again for the same reason. The ones who voted for him because he's a Democrat, or because he's a union-loving Chicago commie will do so again. The ones who voted for him because they thought they were voting against Bush will sadly still be allowed to vote. The ones who are dead and voted for him will hopefully not be able to keep voting from beyond the grave as these mysterious dead Democrat voters are prone to do.

The Left is going to bash Romney for being a Mormon and for being rich and bash his wife, saying she's never had a job. Well, I give less than a squirrel fart that he's a Mormon; how he worships his chosen deity is his affair and as long as he isn't knocking on my door during the hockey playoffs with two kids in white shirts & black ties on bikes we're all good. So he's rich; most people asking to be President are. He made his money honestly like a good capitalist. That's the American dream in action, baby. And Mitt's wife never had to give up a law license on court orders, unlike a certain world-traveler Vacationista.

Romney has a solid chance to turn the economy around. He has business savvy and economic sense. When he became Governor of Taxachussetts, he closed a 3 BILLION dollar budget gap without raising taxes and the state ended up with a budget surplus. The healthcare law that is called Romneycare was a private, market-based reform that ensures every Massachusetts citizen will have health insurance, without a government takeover and without raising taxes (unlike Obamacare). When he took the helm of the organizing committee to put together the Olympics in Salt Lake, he erased a $379 million operating deficit, organized 23,000 volunteers, galvanized community spirit and oversaw an unprecedented security mobilization just months after September 11th, leading to one of the most successful Olympics in our country’s history. Unlike Obama, he's had real jobs, created real jobs, and turned real profits, instead of being a paid agitator for a political party.

He may not have been your first choice, or mine, but right now he's the only choice we have unless you wanna see the country we grew up in disappear completely. I for one am NOT better off than I was four years ago, and I aim to change that come November. Let's take back America.
