My own Conservative Journey

How did I come to be a Conservative?

This post is sort of a re-write of an article I originally wrote in February of 2013. To be honest, I hadn't realized till I sat down at my keyboard that it had been six and a half years ago. It sorta felt like yesterday. I've updated the article and made it current; I even corrected a couple mistakes. If you wish to read the original, go here.

But what brought this to fruition? Why did I resurrect a six year old article?

Lately the Net has been full of stories of a mass exodus of people defecting from the Democrat party to ride the Trump Train. There's even a new term, #Blexit, for the massive wave of black voters exiting the party to go Conservative. Just yesterday I heard the term Lexit, applied to Latino voters doing the same thing.

And a couple weeks ago a guy I follow on Twitter tipped me to a guy he was following, a guy in Cincinnati named Scott Ford, who's been causing quite a stir in media circles. A lifelong Democrat, Scott has decided to finally walk away from a party that no longer represents his interests and beliefs, a party of deceit and lies, a party that marginalizes and discriminates while saying it's the Right who does these things. A party of socialism, lunacy, and anti-American values. Reading Scott's posts about how this nation, and his city, are again prospering under the Trump administration and how warmly he's been received by his new legions of followers and friends has been great. He's a super-nice dude, and if you want to follow his Twitter feed, it's ScottFordTVGuy.

So in reading about his journey from Left to Right, it made me think about my own story, and how I probably should have ended up a Liberal but thankfully stayed true to be roots.

Read on below........

There are times when I look back at my previous 50 years and marvel at how I became the fervent Small Government, Pro-Constitution, Fiscal Conservative that I am as a middle-aged adult. Sometimes I wonder if it was an evolution, while at other times I'm convinced it was a pre-ordained path I was set upon at birth and that I was always a Conservative at heart. Sometimes I think I became a Conservative because of my upbringing, and sometimes I think it was in spite of it. Regardless, it's been a long, strange trip and while a Conservative I may be, and a staunch one at that (few can truly question my veracity) I don't exactly fit the mold most associate with being the prototypical archetype.

I'm an American citizen, but my people haven't always been. On my mom's side, I'm first-generation. She was born in Canada and emigrated here as a kid. I helped my mother study for her citizenship test in 1993. My grandfather was given his first job in America by a Czech couple who had survived a concentration camp. It's how I picked up a lot of Yiddish words as a kid. On my father's side, I'm second-generation. His father was conceived in Poland and born over here, the last of 12 kids and the  first American in the family. During WW2 he married a girl from Wales and brought her back to the States when the war was over.

I come from a lineage that appreciated being American and following the American dream. I also come from a very, very long line of military people. It's in our blood; it's what we do. On both sides, we're born with a strong sense of duty to serve. My mom's family service goes back to the Crusades. Two of her brothers served in Vietnam without being US citizens. Like I said, it's what we do.

Now, I did say that I became a Conservative in spite of things. By this I mostly mean my education. Public schools have long been the Indoctrination Centers for the Liberal Left. From kindergarten through my first 6 weeks of high school, I was a victim/hostage of the Prince George's County public schools in suburban Maryland, long a deep blue bastion of the Left and currently the focus of a nasty squabble over whether Baltimore is a Third World Shithole. (IT IS) I had some good teachers but the classes were often severely overcrowded. The schools were more like free lunch and daycare for poorer kids than it was a place to get educated. By junior high, circa '82/'83, my classes were 45 kids deep and with a 43 minute class period, so it was less than a minute per kid for the teacher to spend. Good luck if a kid needed some extra help. No wonder some kids fell through the cracks.

I can't recall any overt political indoctrination in my younger years but they really hammered Black History Month on us every year, maybe because I was a bit of a minority (to put it mildly) and in the mid-70's we really weren't that far past the civil rights fights around the time of my birth in 1969. Teachers encouraged us to watch the mini-series "Roots". I could be wrong, but this may have been the beginnings of the Liberal Left wave of White Guilt to make us all feel like evil racists. For certain we never learned about any of the historical black Americans I've written about; instead it was always the Harriet Tubmans and George Washington Carvers and the MLK's. No military figures because the military is evil. Just safe, peaceful academics and freedom fighters against The Man in general and The White Man in particular.

When I hit high school, things took a dramatic turn. I left the DC suburbs and found myself in a small school in coastal Maine an hour north of Liberal Boston. The classes were much smaller; anything more than 20 kids was crowded. The teachers were able to spend more time with the students and I feel my education, such as it was, became much better than what I was getting in Maryland. But, and there's always a but, Maine is full of escaped hippies and tree huggers and transplanted New Yawkas and Masshole Liberals who now outnumber the old-school New England Conservatives easily a hundred-fold. Many Republicans in Maine are Progressive RINO types. (See Susan Collins as a prime example).  My freshman civics teacher moonlighted as a Democrat in the state House of Representatives so my perspective on government may have been sabotaged without my even realizing it. I took history classes from a transplanted NY liberal who disdained the military and let me and my circle of friends (who were fervently pro-military) know it.

Yeah, this was a weird crossroads time for me. Looking back, I was the quintessential confused teenager trying to find myself. I was, as I said, fervently pro-military. I mean, seriously like to the point where I had a subscription to Soldier of Fortune magazine for awhile and I had a litany of tee-shirts that made my teachers cringe. Great shirts like "Kill a Commie For Mommy", and "Kill 'Em All; Let God Sort 'Em Out". Nowadays I'd be thrown out of school as a potential mass shooter based solely on my shirt choices. After watching the original "Red Dawn" at the movies with my posse, I was convinced the Russian hordes were set to invade Maine and the only hope America had was me and mine.

I

My high school guidance counselor (let's call him Phil) acted as if he got some sort of bonus or kickback for every kid who went to college after graduation and was exceedingly butthurt if you didn't say you were going to college. Sat me down my senior year and asked, "So, what are Steve's plans for after graduation?" Officious condescending prick. Did the same to all of us, and my buddy Chris (who was about to enlist in the Marines) said ""I dunno, he's right across the table from you. Why don't you ask him?".

Phil had no use for us once we told him we weren't planning on college and that we were enlisting. Seems he'd been drafted and spent a miserable time in Korea and despised the military and everything to do with it. He only grudgingly and with great resistance allowed military recruiters in to talk to students. He had zero use for me and my friends.

Yeah, I was the strange sort of kid who read The Hunt For Red October as a hardback in '85 at age 16  before most submarine officers did. The kid who went to the library to read Jane's Defense Weekly and would regularly check out Norman Polmar's "Ships and Aircraft of the US Fleet" to memorize entire sections of data on our military. The kid who called CNN once to talk to Norman Friedman about submarines when he was a guest one afternoon and was told by the world's foremost naval analyst that the theory behind my question was a great idea. The kid who would read the annual reports of the Soviet threat and could identify pretty much every tank and aircraft used by NATO and Warsaw Pact forces alike.

Sounds like Reagan's perfect ideal American boy, no?

But at the same time I was a bit conflicted. Like I said, I was finding myself. And in doing so, I found myself drawn to the fringes of the punk music scene and the second British Invasion of New Wave bands. Sometimes it was hard to play the anti-establishment tunes of the Dead Kennedys as they railed against suit-wearing stodgy stuffy Republicans while thumb-tacking a poster of a flight of A-10 tank-busters on my bedroom wall. Most music scenes are decidedly Liberal. Many of my fellow die-hard fans of those 80s bands are still extreme Leftists today. I was reading liberal music rags like Rolling Stone.  I would find myself wearing the combat boots and leather jacket (but not the Mohawk or the safety pin in my ear) and feeling rebellious. I wasn't entirely sure what the hell I was rebelling against, but I was doing it.

Then I joined the Army. It was inevitable, really. And not just as a regular soldier; I was a Military Policeman.
Yours truly in MP School. I still have that boonie hat 31 years later.

I rode a fine line when I was in the Army. Off duty I still listened to the music and dressed in moody black clothes and hung out with Liberal civilians in artsy cafes and clubs, but on duty I was the spit and polish Army cop. I'd get off of patrol duty and high-tail it to the local Alternative Night at a club with my bin of import CDs and 12" remix singles to provide the DJ with fresh tunes. Little did the patrons realize that the dude handing records to the DJ and tearing up the dance floor was The Man.

SIDE NOTE: At least two of the bands that I still listen to from my youth, Depeche Mode and Erasure, covered political themes in their last albums that came out a bit after Trump was elected. Both alluded to being worried that progress made was being lost and that the world was basically headed to hell in a handbasket. I found it funny and somewhat hypocritical that Two of the guys from Depeche Mode live in America instead of home in England and their tour promoting an album that contained the song "Where's the Revolution?" made approximately $200 MILLION but America is oh-so-bad....

I voted in my first Presidential election while stationed in Germany. I voted for Bush 41. Looking back I wish I had been four years older to have voted for Reagan. That would have been a proud moment. C'est la vie.

After the Army I learned what being disgruntled and disenfranchised felt like. It took me 10 months to land a job after the Army, despite being told my status as a veteran gave me preferential hiring status and that my Army skills were invaluable in the civilian workforce. I was beginning to wonder about these stodgy old Republicans in their grey suits and question whether they were actually looking out for my best interests.

Right about this time, the Left really started to use early social media and TV to grab younger voters and lure them in to the fold. The Left used MTV and liberal musicians (Rock the Vote) to appeal to younger, low-information voters who tend to vote based on how young and hip a candidate is. They pushed for states to adopt Motor Voter Bills, where you registered to vote at the DMV when getting a license (as if it was some sort of Herculean effort and miracle to get registered. It ain't that hard, people. It takes effort and desire, though, and that is something most younger Americans lack these days.) While I can look back and applaud the effort to get younger folks interested in politics, registering to vote and actually voting, all they would do is push liberal agendas and liberal candidates. And it worked. Young people came out in droves to vote for Bill Clinton. He was young, he was hip, he played the sax on Arsenio Hall. Bush 41 simply said "Read my lips, no new taxes", and then raised taxes, due in part because Congress was controlled by the Left and that's what Leftists do. But you couldn't tell young people that. Today in 2019, Democrat candidates are promising free shit to everyone, debt and loan forgiveness, amnesty, anything under the sun, to draw in the naive and ignorant young voters.

Slick. Hip. Cool. Serial adulterer.

I didn't vote in the 1992 election, to be honest. I abstained. I was 23, unemployed, I was pissed off, I felt that after giving my first few years of adulthood to Uncle Sam that I needed a break. Looking back, it was stupid and petulant of me in retrospect.

In late 1993 I went back to Maine for college, and regretted it quickly. The University of Maine, like the state it represents, is riddled and rife with hippies, tree huggers, and other various and sundry Liberal ilk. While the Criminal Justice program I was in seemed to have its head screwed on right, the rest of the faculty seemed your average garden variety granola-munching socialists. I got bored with the BS for a BS and dropped out, on the Dean's List with a 3.67 GPA. Read about it here.

Along came the 1996 election, and I simply didn't trust Bill Clinton. I was 27, recently married, and  now had responsibilities, things like bills and payments. And that, my dear readers, is one of the things that grows you up and makes you lean RIGHT and not LEFT: it's easy to bang the liberal drum and rail against those evil banks and corporations when you're a college student leeching off mom and dad, or some welfare maven sucking the governmental teat, all woe is me and downtrodden. But once you grow up and have responsibilities and bills to pay, you begin to realize how shallow and corrupt and vile the Left is and you start hungering for fiscal responsibility in your leaders, a strong national defense to keep offshore scumbags at bay, your right to a firearm to keep local scumbags at bay, lower taxes and fewer regulations so you can keep what you earn and live a free life as guaranteed by the Constitution.

Problem is, the GOP kept propping up stodgy old guys in suits who seemed unrelatable and out of touch.

Yes, I supported Ross the Boss
Bob Dole had all the personality of a dead fish all through the election of 1996. Conversely, Slick Willie was all, well, Slick Willie. He felt your pain, and did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I mean, he was the young hip Prez, why would he lie? I supported the Crazy Guy, Ross Perot, as a protest. I liked the guy.  We got more Slick Willie as a result, and after the election, Bob Dole hit the late night shows (hosted by Liberals) and he was personable, funny, engaging; in other words the exact opposite of what he had shown us during the campaign. If had he shown even half that much personality and affability BEFORE the election I'd have been right there with him all the way.

But yeah, the older I've gotten, the more Conservative I've become. In spite of being surrounded by Libs all trying to seduce me to the Dark Side.

The Liberal Lapdog Media likes to portray the Typical Conservative as either a rich, doddering old man in a suit counting his billions schemed off the backs of the proletarian masses, or as a crazed gun-toting redneck garbed in camo and a NASCAR hat, burning crosses and misquoting Bible verses as they run over illegal aliens and other minorities in a giant pickup. The media only fans those flames higher now under Trump.
 Conservative Stereotype A

Conservative Stereotype B
Yes, there are rich Conservatives in bespoke suits and yes there are Conservatives who live just down the road from me who fit more than just a couple of the criteria on the latter list.

Where do I fit in? What convenient little box can the Left try to put me in? Am I the rich guy playing golf and getting his lawn manicured by struggling brown people? Or am I the Bud Light-swilling racist misogynist looking for gays to beat up and drag behind my F-350?

Neither. I'm a pretty normal, average Joe.

I'm a blue-collar guy. I work for the Department of the Navy in logistics. (I shan't divulge further). I'm not rich by any means. I'm a college dropout. A damned intelligent college dropout if I dare say.

I'm not a religious guy whatsoever. On a generous day, I'm an agnostic at best. However, I have no real problem with those who practice their faith. This nation was founded on religious freedom as one of its basic tenets. I simply choose not to practice.

Pickup truck with a gun rack?  Land Rover Evoque? Not me; I drive a screamin' green Hyundai Kona and the wife drives a Nissan.

I have 11 tattoos and  had 2 earrings till I finally outgrew the notion. Didn't get my first tat till I was 36. Instead of golf, I play Pokemon Go on my phone.

Yes, I have tattoos for a band. A Liberal band, even.

And I have my belief system as a tattoo

Gun nut? I like guns, am very comfortable with guns, and I enjoy shooting. Do I own a closet full of shotguns and sniper rifles? Nope.We have a couple of handguns for personal defense and yes, an AR-15 for recreational target shooting. Would I shoot an intruder threatening my home and family? You bet your ass, and with zero hesitation. Think you're gonna come take my guns, Donkey Party? Good luck. I may lose in the end but they'll find me in a pile of expended brass surrounded by those who failed in their task before me.

Most conservatives are against same-sex marriage. Not me. I'm cool with it. You're different from me in your sexuality? Fine. You found love? Awesome. You wanna commit and get married and take a penalty on your taxes like me? Excellent. You want to be able to extend familial survivor benefits and what not to your spouse? Cool. That in no way affects or threatens my marriage or me in any way. Some people are gay and we as a human race really need to get the fuck over it.

As a side project, I am a licensed wedding officiant. In that capacity, I have performed several same-sex marriages.

For the most part I am fervently anti-drug. Hell, I used to put people in military prisons over drugs. I've mellowed out a bit somewhat about legalizing marijuana though. Many Conservatives are even against medical marijuana and CBD oil. Not me; bring it on if it helps. But don't expect me to condone Starbucks offering clean places for junkies to shoot up and drop off needles.

Death penalty? DO IT.

Conservatives, by and large, wave a big huge giant flag against abortion. It's a super-tricky issue. I'm not in favor of it as a rule, especially not as a form of contraception by irresponsible types and not if we gotta fund it for free for those same irresponsible types. It's your problem; why should I pay for it? The complication is that it is constitutionally legal. If you ban it, it will just go underground and occur in secret filthy labs set up in self-storage lockers and folks are gonna die. (And by folks I don't just mean the fetus; I also mean that those getting it done will invariably become casualties as they would in any lurid, secret, underground, illegal, unlicensed surgical deal). If you really feel the need to ban it, amend the Constitution that you claim to defend, uphold, and support. That's the process we set up when we founded this country. Personally, I'm against it after the first few weeks whatsoever, unless continuing the pregnancy will cause harm and irreparable damage. Some say that life begins at conception and others say at birth. Some say that if you're going to say that a pre-fetal zygote is a living human why can't you claim it on your taxes and give it a Social Security Number till it's born?  For the record, I have no children of my own, so some would also say that I shouldn't even comment on the subject at all. But since when do I follow the rules?

The more I get to know my fellow Conservatives (not Establishment Republicans) the more I think I'm probably actually more mainstream than I thought. We tend quite often  to fall into that gray area middle ground. We work, and we work hard. We want lower taxes and we want government to stay the hell out of every bit of minutiae in running our lives. We're sick of welfare leeches and sick of paying through the nose for gas and food. We're sick of illegals pouring through our borders and getting free shit. We're sick of our rights being eroded away and being replaced by bullshit regulations. We're sick of the Left usurping the Constitution. We're sick of being labeled as racists, Nazis, and fascists by people who ACTUALLY ARE THOSE THINGS. We're sick of the Establishment GOP handing us RINO squishes and jellybacks as candidates, of giving us progresssive old rich white dudes as candidates, of giving us UNELECTABLE candidates who won't fight back or even fight at all. We're sick of bending over and taking it in the ass from the Left on every issue because our alleged leadership just caves in on every issue. This is how Donald J. Trump got elected.

Okay, rant over.What say you?

If you got knocked out, you must be a racist...

I'm gonna knock you out! Oprah said knock you out!
I know, I know. I'm such a racist. Oprah wants me dead. And according to the Feral Gummint I'm probably a terrorist too. Oh, well. So be it. This is partly a continuation of my previous article where Oprah wants to kill me for being white.

A couple weekends ago in a Houston suburb, about a hundred or so people gathered for a house party. During said party 2 people were killed and more than 22 were injured when gunfire broke out as rival gangs did what gangs do: ie: hoot, holler, posture, smoke weed, drink mawlt ligga, and degenerate into spraying random gunfire from an illegally-obtained handgun held sideways into a crowd of bystanders. After an arrest was made in connection, a protest press conference was thrown together, because of course rather than celebrating an arrest being made in a gang shooting the local black community would rather protest the police, led by an agitator from the New Black Panther Party calling himself Quanell X. Seriously. It's 2013 and people still feel the need to use X as a last name, rejecting their slave names...whatever.

Normally, I'd be telling you about how many black folks in Chicago were killed by their fellow black folks this weekend. There's already been 20 homicides in the Windy Murder City this month, down from last year's 38 in November but we still have a couple weekends left, and you can always count on Thanksgiving to spawn a few heated arguments over the sweet potatoes or who gets the wishbone that will end in violence. Want to track the homicides in Saint Barack and Empress Oprah's gun-controlled Democrat-ruined home town? Go here.

However, if you're looking for another den of iniquity run by a Democrat and surrounded by stupidity, look to Houston, Texas. It really comes as a bit of a surprise that a highly conservative red state like Texas and the city that gave America great conservatives like Senator Ted Cruz and talk show host Michael Berry would be chock full of Left Wing Stupidity, but Mayor Annise Parker rules by the same executive order fiats that Saint Barack uses in Washington, and Houston is further handicapped by being represented in Congress by Sheila Jackson Lee. SheJack is quite possibly the dumbest human being ever to (dis)grace the halls of Congress. Actually she doesn't represent all of Houston, just the 18th District, encompassing the inner-city areas and has done so with alarming glaring dumbness since 1995.

A waste of space, SheJack sits on the House Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics, probably because NASA had a Mission Control in Houston before Obama took over. She actually visited NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab and asked if the Mars Rover would be able to show “the flag the astronauts planted there before”. I'm surprised she didn't ask when the Death Star would be completed.

Not only has Jackson-Lee voted against every national security measure one could think of, but she actually goes out looking for dictators to support. She invited embattled Syrian dictator Assad to speak in Texas, she urged the sale of F-16 parts to Hugo Chavez, and called for an end to economic sanctions against Saddam Hussein. She might be considered a walking security risk, if she actually knew anything of national security value. Or anything of value whatsoever. In 2010 she used vaulable time on the House floor to to celebrate the victory in Vietnam and the “two Vietnams, side by side, North and South, exchanging and working. We may not agree with all that North Vietnam is doing, but they are living in peace.” Oh, yes, we have a winner here.

During the 2011 hearings on Islamic terrorism, held by Representative Peter King (R-NY), Jackson Lee railed against them as “an effort to demonize and to castigate a whole broad base of human beings.” She then lamented that the committee was not spending its time on genuine terroristic threats: “the cold cases of the civil-rights movement,” for example. She encouraged the committee to hold hearings to determine “whether Klansmen still roam today and terrorize individuals in parts of this country.”

Jackson-Lee opposed repealing Obamacare because that would violate the Fifth Amendment’s right to Due Process. Digest that for a second, will you? An Amendment that has so little to do with Obamacare that she might as well have picked it by randomly pulling part of the Bill of Rights out of a hat. In one sentence, she proved that she has never read the Constitution and has no idea what Due Process even means.

SheJack is known far & wide for her mangling of the English language. Go here to check her outrageous list of quotes. You can't make this shit up.

But, like most Democrats in Congress, perhaps her crowning glory is her ability to play the race card. We saw above how she turned a committee meeting on terrorism into a racist thing. She once declared on the House floor, “I stand here as a freed slave because this Congress came together.”

She used valuable House floor time to criticize what she called a "demeaning" Pepsi ad that aired during the Super Bowl. In the ad for Pepsi Max, a black woman sitting on a park bench gets angry with her husband after an attractive, white female jogger sits down next to the couple and smiles and waves at the man. After the man smiles back, his girlfriend or wife gets angry and whips her Pepsi Max can at him. The man ducks, and the can hits the attractive jogger in the head. The ad “showed a demeaning role for African American women,” she said. It was also horribly racist to show the ad during Black History Month. Please....

In 2011, Jackson Lee insinuated on the House floor that Republicans opposed raising the debt ceiling because of racism: “I am particularly sensitive to the fact that only this president,” she said, “only this one, only this one has received the kind of attacks and disagreements and inability to work. Only this one. Read between the lines. What is different about this president?” It is “because we elected the first African American president” that some states are now pushing for voter ID. I guess the fact that the Left did everything humanly possible to tie the hands of GW Bush is lost on them. They only bring his name up when it's time to blame him for everything from the economy to Katrina to the crucifixion of Jesus to the extinction of dinosaurs.

Speaking of hurricanes...She even complained that devastating natural disasters are used to promote racism, telling the Hill in 2003 that hurricane names are too “lily white” and that “all racial groups should be represented.”

About the hurricane thing, I found this on a friend's Facebook feed, quoting a friend of his:
"Well, it appears our African-American friends have found yet something else to be pissed about. A black congresswoman (this would be Sheila Jackson Lee, of Houston), reportedly complained that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian sounding names. She would prefer some names that reflect African-American culture such as Chamiqua, Tanisha, Woeisha, Shaqueal, and Jamal.

I am NOT making this up!

She would also like the weather reports to be broadcast in "language" that street people can understand because one of the problems that happened in New Orleans was that black people couldn't understand the seriousness of the situation, due to the racially biased language of the weather report.

I guess if the weather person says that the winds are going to blow at 140+ MPH, that's too hard to understand!

I can hear it now: A weatherman in New Orleans says...

Wazzup, mutha-fukkas! Hehr-i-cane Chamiqua be headin' fo' yo ass like Leroy on a crotch rocket! Bitch be a category fo'! So, turn off dem chitlins, grab yo' chirren, leave yo crib, and head fo' de nearest FEMA office fo yo FREE shit!
Kinda sounds like something I would write, but it was so eloquent that I just had to quote it. Jackson Lee made her thoughts clear to her onetime Capitol-office executive assistant, Rhiannon Burruss, years ago: “I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen.”.

Another genius of the SheJack ilk is the Mayor of Port Allen, Louisiana, DeeDee Slaughter. Much like SheJack, this corrupt Democrat can barely stitch together enough coherent words to form a sentence. That didn't stop her from blocking the town's CFO out of the municipal bank account and writing herself a check from town funds above her paycheck because she felt she needed mo' money. (The town council had not approved a raise of $20,000 that she wanted, so she took it upon herself to just take the money.)  She also charged the taxpayers $2500 so she could fly to DC and attend the Obama inauguration. She eventually fired the CFO without council approval and created such a hostile work environment that city workers did a mass exodus in droves. Oh, wait, kids....it seems that this week DeeDee was OUSTED as Mayor in a recall election. The people have spoken...

So, why am I picking on black Democrats like some evil  Tea Party white debbil? Because I refuse to feel White Guilt for Black Problems. I'm sick to damned death of whining white liberals who think it's evil and wrong to be a middle aged white man believing in capitalism. Comic and podcaster Greg Proops, who I actually do enjoy and think is a brilliantly smart & funny man, nonetheless bashes white males (of which he is one) on every podcast as being the sole reason for the problems of the world, more specifically white males of the Republican and/or Wall Street variety, because they keep women down and blacks down and every other minority on this big blue ball we call Earth. I simply refuse to feel like shit every day of my life for what happened in America before 1920 when women got the vote or 1865 when the slaves were freed.

One part of my family came to America in 1913 from Poland. Not many Poles owned slaves in America that I can recall. In fact, the Poles have been oppressed since time began. My mom came to America in 1960. Her great grandfather died in the Boer War fighting against those who later instituted apartheid. Her sweet sixteen party was canceled because of race riots in downtown DC in 1968. Don't blame me for your problems.

We need to quit blaming White America for black on black crime and quit blaming the Right for black poverty. Take some frikkin' responsibility for your own actions. It's not my fault you grew up poor. Suck it up; so did I. My teen mom and I lived with her parents, and while I could have gotten the free or reduced lunch at school, my mom instead made the necessary sacrifices like a responsible parent to keep us off the system and to make sure I had lunch money. It's not my fault your baby daddy done left. I didn't have a relationship with my father till I was damn near 40. Get over it. Quit playing the victim. Quit blaming everyone for your problems and man the hell up.

See, the media and black leaders don't want to say such harsh things. When a respected black leader tells you to handle your own affairs and be a responsible adult, like say Bill Cosby, you bash him. Or, say, Allen West, you call him an Uncle Tom. Instead, you'll listen to Spike Lee as he gives out the wrong address on Twitter so vigilantes could take out the family of George Zimmerman. Or you'll just keep on killing each other in the streets. Or, you'll play The Knockout Game.

Knockout Game, you say? Why, yes. It seems to be the latest fad where roving groups of young black thugs seek out an innocent solo victim, usually someone elderly, in many cases gay, Asian, Jewish, some sort of fellow minority but always a victim unlikely to fight back, and the gist of the game is to hit the victim so hard that they are knocked unconscious with a single blow. If still conscious, you just keep beating them until they are knocked out. Or dead.

This week the news reports started circulating about kids playing the Knockout Game who have been running into armed citizens who defended themselves and shot their attackers. Of course, the media is wanting to portray the armed citizens as the aggressors and their attackers as angelic pillars of the community, much the way Trayvon Martin was portrayed.

It's been happening in Philly, New York, Detroit, all over. But people are fighting back as well they should, and maybe once a few more thugs get wasted they might wisen up. The blamestream media has FINALLY woken up to this nationwide epidemic but I don't hear any black leaders calling for it to end. The only black leader that's spoken of it is Allen West.

Allen West. This is what a REAL black leader looks like. Scratch that. This is what an AMERICAN LEADER looks like.

But where are the Race Pimps?

Where's Al Sharpton? Where's Jesse Jackson? Where's Oprah? Where's the fucking President?

He was instead awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the civilian equivalent to the Medal of Honor, to his homie Bill Clinton and....of course.....say it with me now....Oprah Effing Winfrey.

Beware the dreaded Assault Finger

Ban the Assault Finger
Way back when I was but a wee pup, as the Earth was cooling and dinosaurs roamed the lands, I lived in Maryland. I was born in DC and spent my first 14 years in a suburb called Langley Park, part of the bigger suburb of Silver Spring. I spent my elementary and middle school years as a brick in the wall in the Prince Georges County public schools. Looking at back at the Cesspool of Liberalism that Maryland has become (or maybe it always was and as a kid I just never knew it) I'm glad I got out of there when I did.

Within the past month, three Maryland kids, a six year old boy attending Roscoe Nix Elementary in good old Silver Spring, and two six year old boys attending Talbot County Elementary, were SUSPENDED from school for (GASP!) making a finger-gun gesture. The insanity doesn't stop in Maryland either, nor is it confined to liberal wastelands. Over in the decidedly red state of Oklahoma, a five year old boy was suspended from Chickasha Elementary for brandishing his finger and saying "Bang, Bang".

When will we finally ban assault fingers?

And in perhaps the most insane episode I have seen in quite a while, a five year old girl was suspended, initially for ten days but reduced to two, over saying she was going to shoot other kids and herself with BUBBLES from a Hello Kitty bubble gun.

The Taliban issues these

Digest that a minute.

The lunatics of the Mt. Carmel, PA school system characterized the incident as a "terroristic threat" and labeled the little girl's action as a "threat to harm others"... Seriously...They interrogated the child for hours without her parents present, according to the family's lawyer, and the girl was forced to undergo psychological testing by an independent practitioner before they would allow her back into school, with the incident being added to her permanent record.

I've seen Parkinson's patients with less of a knee-jerk than this.

When I was a kid, I actually never needed to make finger-gun gestures. We had toy guns instead. I had an arsenal of them. I never wanted the cowboy six-shooters; I never played Cowboys & Indians or Cops & Robbers. No, I had a replica Luger cap gun and a pretty realistic M-1A1 Thompson sub machine gun (the WW2 Army version of the Tommy Gun). The Thompson replaced a series of bolt-action toy drill rifles based on the old 1903 Springfield that almost every male child born before 1980 played with.
The Luger cap gun I took from a captured SS officer in my back yard

The Thompson M-1A1
I had a dozen of these, I swear.

Nope, no cowboys or cops for me; I was a pint sized SGT Rock. I liberated my neighborhood from the Nazi scourge before bedtime.

Strange, I don't recall me or any of my childhood friends growing up to be psychotic adults who mow down kids and shoot up shopping malls, and we did far more than make simple finger gestures.

By this new Liberal Assault Finger Logic, if you flip someone the bird you'll be arrested for rape.

Headed for a life of crime...

The hypocrisy of gun control

"To conquer a nation, first disarm its citizens."--Adolf Hitler

Face it; it's not about the guns. It's about CONTROL.

Control of the masses by leaving them defenseless to stop you as you slowly (or not so slowly) take away their freedoms and either enslave them or eradicate them.

But let's look at the hypocrisy surrounding the issue right now....

A few days ago, a former United States Marine wrote an open letter to none other than Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). Here is the text of the letter sent by Joshua Boston:

Senator Dianne Feinstein,
I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.
I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant.
I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.
I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

Respectfully Submitted,
Joshua Boston

Josh Boston in the combat zone

Since the letter went viral on the web, Boston has been getting death threats from the Left. Yeah, that's real peaceful. Give up your instruments of death or we'll kill you! Frikkin' morons.

Feinstein is pushing a bill to ban over 120 specifically-named firearms and force those who are grandfathered to register all of their weapons. Yeah, that worked great in Hitler's Germany and Stalin's Russia and Mao's China, etc. Again, leave them defenseless so you can cow them or kill them.

As the Left is always rife with hypocrites, I hasten to point out that when she felt threatened years ago, Feinstein herself got a Concealed Carry Permit and kept a gun with her in her purse. It's okay for her to carry for self-defense, but not for the peasants. Fellow Leftist scurve Harry Reid  (D-NV)also has a concealed carry permit for self-defense but now wants you and me naked against those who would do us harm. And I just love the picture of Chuck Schumer (D-NY) firing a TEC-9, a weapon covered by their precious assault weapons ban. It's okay for Chuck to squeeze off a few rounds but not for you & me.

Even that tubby slug Michael Moore, who demonizes the rich but is rich himself, wants to take your guns yet owns a gun and has armed guards.

In fact, it's okay for all the Elitist Left to have guns and be surrounded by and protected by armed guards, but you, the proletariat, are to remain unarmed. Do as I say, not as I do, peasants.

Bye Bye Jesse Junior

Bye guys. I have to be in my room for bed-check at 9:00

So, there's this guy, see? He's in Congress. He literally DISAPPEARS for weeks, misses votes in Congress & doesn't call, and is coincidentally under investigation for ethics violations and misuse of campaign funds....something about trying to PAY to take over Barry Sotero's seat in the senate when he magically became Emperor Obama......then re reappears, says he's mentally ill but everything's cool now, re-elect me.....

AND THEY DID. Seriously. If ever there was a doubt that Chicago, and Illinois as a whole, is beyond hope of redemption, they actually reelected by a healthy margin a man who is pretty much batshit crazy and spent time in the loony bin and is under House investigation. Then again, Chicago Liberal Democrats are used to people being investigated for fraud, abuse, and ethics violations. It's like a sport there. And his dad, Jesse Senior, is a loser as well, so the turd didn't roll far from the honey wagon here either. I'm surprised the good reverend hasn't spouted racism yet , couched inside a goofy rhyme scheme.

Well, on the day before Thanksgiving, Representative Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL) sent his letter of resignation from Congress to House Speaker John "Bonehead" Boehner, citing his ongoing treatment for bipolar disorder and admitting "my share of mistakes" while confirming publicly for the first time that he's under a federal probe and cooperating with investigators.

So I guess there will either be someone appointed by the Governor to take his place, or a special election will be held to replace him. Doesn't make a difference either way; he'll just be replaced by another Left Wing Liberal Democrat to keep the Benefit and Entitlement Train rolling through his largely urban and Democrat district.

Chicago is famous for three things: organized crime, deep dish pizza, and corrupt politicians, and Jesse, Rahm, and Obama don't come with extra cheese....you figure out the rest.

I smell the Occupiers from here...

Well, we knew this was coming. We knew that during the months leading up to the election that these cockroaches would come scurrying out of the woodwork again.

They provide a distraction from the dismal failure of the Obama Administration. They provide a rallying point for Socialists, Marxists, and various other Liberal offal. They provide a boo-hoo sob story to help the Mainstream/Lamestream/Blamestream Media demonize the Right, Capitalism, and a Free Market Economy (ironic since the Left absolutely worships rich Hollywood types while vilifying successful business people).

But yeah, the Occupy Wall Street Assclown Parade is due to kick back off again tomorrow. No one should be surprised, since tomorrow is May 1st, celebrated as May Day all through the Socialist world...May Day is a national holiday in many countries around the world and is typically celebrated with marches and street demonstrations by working people, according to Socialist propaganda outlet Mother Jones, but has not been as widely observed in the United States. Maybe that's because we're not a socialist country (yet), you dolts.

So the OccuTard Movement is calling for tomorrow to be a General Strike, encouraging the masses to walk out of school and work and refrain from banking and commerce.Over in Denver, where the state is overrun with hippies and their ilk, Occupy Denver plans to rally on May 1st at Civic Center Park and march around Denver. Later in the afternoon protesters will return to Civic Center Park for activities for adults and kids, live music, food and teach-ins for the rest of the day at the park. Yes, a day of wandering the streets disrupting people working hard to provide the Leech Class with their government handouts, and then followed by indoctrination classes and the ritual singing of Kumbaya.

Marissa Holmes, an Occupy Wall Street organizer, was quoted as saying "May Day will be the big kickoff of Phase 2 of Occupy. I think we'll see a lot of people in the streets taking more militant actions than they had in the past."

In other words, our resolve weakened as soon as it got cold out and we realized that despite our cool North Face parkas and copious hot Starbucks by the gallon, we lacked the resolve and fortitude to protest past Halloween and just went home to our parents' basements till it warmed up a bit and Soros started paying us again.

Also, note that she said people would be taking much more militant actions... that, my friends, is the thinly veiled threat of violence. That's the admission that these vermin intend to turn the streets of our cities into Euro-style G-6 protests. So get ready for a long summer full of dirty cretins pissing in parks, raping each other when they're not too stoned to move, shitting on cop cars, and pushing old ladies down flights of stairs. Think I'm kidding? Look 'em up...all the violence at Occupy Oakland (I even linked you to the left-wing MSNBC no less)...the guy taking a dump on the cop car....Occutards pissing on a cross at the church that took them in....scumbag Occupiers throwing blood, piss, and crap on food carts in San Diego who wouldn't give them free food....rapes in several locations that OccuScum blow off by saying "Rapes happen...".....Dolores Broderson, age 78, from Detroit, who was pushed down a flight of stairs by Occupy DC dirtbags...demands for free stuff at the expense of charities to help the downtrodden....

Listen up, Pond Scum. Go home. Take a freakin' shower. Stay off the weed. Lose that crappy Me First Entitlement Attitude and go get an actual job; there really are jobs out there that you think you're too good to do. Quit expecting me & mine to pay your way. Quit bitching about the dreaded 1%, the business people who keep this nation moving forward despite your efforts to turn us into a Third World socialist nanny state while you worship dickhead celebrities who are even richer than the Wall Street people you hate. Quit being hypocrites whining about corporate greed as you steal my WiFi to blog your rhetoric on a $1500 MacBook while you guzzle $9.00 coffee and listen to NPR on your iPod Touch and ask Siri where the nearest Abercrombie is on your iPhone 4S.

Well, well, well....Perhaps if you idiots in Detroit would vote in someone besides liberal socialist Democrats you might get somewhere instead of voting the same idiots in year after year. Maybe you should move to a state that pays better. Maybe you should learn to spell the name of your state's Governor too, stupid.

Victim , my ass. Pull up a mattress next to Sandra Fluke, princess. Maybe you should have thought about how you were gonna pay for college before you went to your expensive school to study Art History. You also can't spell "field". That's $40,000 wasted. You're better off whoring.

Amen, sister. We're the 53% who support the 99%.
